I am so excited! I was really discouraged during wedding dress shopping because the veils were all so expensive….especially since I wanted something REALLY long. I just could not fathom spending $200 plus on a piece of tulle!
Then I saw somebody on the bee recommend a website called http://www.occanseydesigns.com. I ordered some tulle fabric swatches from them and then waited for my dress to come in so that I could match up the color. They let you completely customize everything…from length, fabric, embellishments, etc. I didn’t want any embellishments, but I wanted something REALLY long. I’ve always dreamed of a super long veil trailing down the aisle 🙂
I am SO pleased with the outcome. I only spent $89 on my veil (including shipping). It is a 150 inch sheer drop veil (I’m dropping a good bit in the front for a blusher). I think it looks and feels as good if not better than most of the veils I tried on during dress shopping. I’m so glad I didn’t jump the gun and order one of those now.
anyway, sorry the pictures aren’t great…I’m home alone right now and it takes an army to get me in and out of the dress, and I can’t get a good picture of the veil actually ON me lol. But, I thought this might help somebody like me who just can’t afford bridal salon veil prices. I’ll try to update later with pictures of it on me.
Folded up to show the color…it matches the dress perfectly!
