After months of going back and forth on a design, I've finally finished our wedding invitations! There are still a few tweaks to be made, but over-all I'm content. For now. This is the 7th or 8th suite I've designed for us. I hope this one sticks.

There are 6 pieces in total: invitations, 2 different enclosure card (we're having two receptions, only one is pictured here) an OOT card w/ brunch info, a response card, and envelopes we're printing digitally.

I'm a graphic designer who designs wedding invitations and stds for a living, but for some reason I had a terrible time trying to design something for myself! I was, by far, my worst client ever. I was neglectful, rude, and critical. I never want to work with me again. :P But in all honesty, I think anyone who works in the wedding industry has a difficult time working on their own wedding.

Did any of you feel that way?

Feel free to give me constructive criticism, I can take it. ^_^

Sorry for the blurring, I tried to do it as sparsely as possible.

@zhongliqiu- these are soooooooooooooo beautiful! your color palette is gorgeous, your font selections are impeccable, your pattern usage is lovely, design & layout are perfect and your overall concept is executed to a T. AWESOME!!

suites like these are what make me excited!!! as a designer myself, i know how incredibly hard it is to design something for yourself. Well my dear, you delivered to the client and then some. You are so talented and your guests will fall off their chairs. This one is a "framable" suite IMO.

    LOVE!!! :D

Ohhhh I LOVE it!!  I'm a learning designer and I really admire all of the hard work it takes to do something so beautiful and intricate!  I think they're just perfect!  Hopefully I can get to that level someday!!

@krissybee - Wow! Thank you so much! I'm completely honored by your comments. It was pretty laborious process. I started with only two things in mind. 1) That base outline shape. I purchased a die cut in a similar shape to make our programs (very similar to Mrs. Cupcakes) and 2) It HAD to have polka dots because my gown {link} is Dora by Melissa Sweet and the paper we're using on the programs has tiny swiss dots all over it. {link} So after I decided to incorporate birdcages as some of our centerpieces and vintage images of birds for our escort cards the ideas started flowing. 100+ fonts later, because I'm OCD like that, and taadaa! I'd love to see some of your work sometime! I'm on etsy (drippyink.etsy.com) come visit me and let me know what you think!

@MandyW - Keep designing, like everything its practice! Are you designing your own invitations? I'd love to see them!

@SweetAdelineXO - Thank you so much!

I think they're absolutely gorgeous!   Particularly the colors.  Bravo, girl!

**The only thing that I wanted to see that you didn't include was a little birdy!  Eggs everywhere, but no bird.  I am a huge bird fan though, so I may be alone in wishing there was a little whimsical bird on the envelope or something...

I think that these are very pretty.  I love all of the details.  VM's idea to add a bird is great.  It might make the eggs make more sense.

@VirginiaMarie + jordynrose - We have a lot of bird details planned for the wedding (see inspiration board here) but I can see where you're coming from. I did need to design something for our return address on the back flap so I added the same frame and a little birdie. Is it too slight? (I'll probably have this made into a stamp)

I think the return stamp looks great.  After having seen your inspiration boards, the eggs make way more sense.  Your call lady!

@jordynrose - I should have explained that I wanted the eggs to be sort of a preview, without giving away everything, of what our reception will be like. Very earthreal and bird-y.
