So after finding the perfect ring a couple of weeks ago, I finally got the courage to bring it up to Mr. Bells. Last night I said casually that I had found a really nice ring that I really liked, and that I would like to show him a picture of it "at some point". He smiled and said that was fine, and I left the conversation at that.
So today I went onto the shop's website and found a picture of the ring, which also states the price and everything, and I showed my BF. I told him that I had tried it on in the shop and that it looked really good on me, and I asked him for his opinion. He said it was a really nice ring and that he really liked it.
I don't think he will propose anytime soon, but at least I feel more at ease now that I have shown him which ring is my favourite. I think I can leave the engagement talk for a while now and not bring it up until he does.
And yesterday, he invited me to go with him to visit his parents in a month as it's his mother's birthday. This is a big step as I have never met his parents before (he's met mine several times though). They live far away and he doesn't see them very often, so I am excited I finally get to meet them.
