So lovely! You looked amazing!!
The seating chart/island idea was so cute.
It looks like the wedding was amazing. i really like your ceremony site and I love your hair, i plan on something similar.
Did you like having a day-of coordinator. I think it might releive some of my stress, but i'm not sure about it.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Hi Suzanne,
I know I had heard it said many times before my own wedding, that hiring a DOC was the best decision the bride had made.
And I knew that I definitely wanted one since I didn't want to make any of my guests do any work after they had spent so much time and money to come be a pert of my day. I also knew that I'd spent so much energy on my DIY projects that I wanted them to be displayed and executed just as I had imagined in my head.
I was totally BLOWN away by how much I loved my DOC. She was better than anything I could have hoped for; never intrusive, totally behind the scenes, and SO on top of it all. Our whole wedding day was so perfect and I know its (almost) all because of her.
So I've added myself to the list of brides who say that a day-of-coordinator was the best money I ever spent!
aww i can't click on the link :( I tried clicking and reposting it in the address bar...am i missing something? I really would love to see your wedding :) i bet your cake was goregous...i really want one from cakelava :)
What an amazingly beautiful, personal, lovely wedding!! You look (and ARE) gorgeous, and your dress is so perfect for your figure and for the vibe of the wedding. And MAN am I impressed by how cut your arms are!
Congrats on what looks like an incredible day, and on being married!!!
p.s. there's a new link in the "view: all/beehive/local/cultural/etc." tabs for pics - you should post there if you already haven't, so everyone can see your awesome pictures!
Thanks for posting the pics! You look beautiful and I love all your details. Makes me so excited to get married at the Hau Terrace too! Congrats!
YAY! I just hired Chrissy to do my wedding in January! She did a great job! You look beautiful! I can't wait to work with her! Congratulations and God Bless your marriage!!
Hello, I love your wedding! I have a couple questions, I am coming from San Diego so it is hard to plan things.
Did you like Advanced Visual arts videographer? I read some bad reviews.
Also did you think Designs by Hemingway was overpriced? I have 4 bridesmiad and want to do a simple backyard wedding, do you have any idea what I can expect? did you like her?
I am doing Cakelava, what was your wedding flavor? did you like them?
Thank you for all your help!!!
Oh sorry one more, I have Dianna as my DOC, did you like her at the wedding?
Hi Hawaii09,
Advanced Visual Arts was probably my least favorite vendor that I had. I wasn't even sure I wanted a videographer, so when we decided to do one, we went with the cheapest option, and that shows a little. He captured everything he needed and there is nothing wrong with the video, its just very simple. He was easy and friendly to work with, although it did take him almost 2 months to send us the video.
Designs by Hempinway IS expensive, I think, but her work is awesome. The flowers ended up being my most favorite part. And they look sooo good in pictures. Sometimes I had to email her a few times to get her to do what I wanted, but in the end, I was very satisfied.
And I LOVED cakelava. So friendly and soooo tasty. We got one layer of coconut pineapple chunk and one layer of the chocolate dream, yummm...I wish I had some cake right now. :)
Oh and Dianna was super too. Everyone says it...best money spent...EVER!
Your wedding was so beautiful! I love the table "map" and naming the tables after the different islands... I may be stealing this idea for my wedding! :) Can I ask - where did you get the silver pineapple placecard holders? They are adorable and would go perfect with my vintage theme.
