In a previous post I talked about how my grandma gave me a family heirloom to use as a wedding band… i debated back and forth whether to change it (it was set in yellow gold, my e-ring is white gold, and also the diamonds were from a pin, not originally a ring, and thus were all different cuts and sizes and it showed). After asking around i finally decided to have it reset… here’s the before and after. I know the pic quality isnt great but you can see a bit of a difference (i also added 2 diamonds to the new one…). It didnt change the ring a lot, which is what i was going for, just allowed the metal to match my e-ring and added a little bit of continuity to the ring. What do you think??

Wow I can barely tell the difference, which means you did a great job of preserving the original ring’s look! Congrats on getting a ring that you love and still being able to honor your grandmother.

Looks great! What a nice idea to keep the old but update to match your style. Love it!

You really did a good job! I love heirlooms and the fact that you were able to preserve it, while still making it work with your e-ring,

It looks great! I can’t tell the difference really between the before and after pics, but that’s a good thing if you were trying to keep it’s overall look 🙂
