FH and I received our wedding bands, and we can’t stop trying them on…(haha).
I was initially worried about mismatched engagement & wedding band thickness, but I am really liking it! I am not much of a “bling” person, so I ended up going for a plain band (I was mostly going for comfort & durability, especially since I work at a research lab & handle various chemicals/work with my hands a lot).
My engagement ring is size 3, 0.75ct diamond on 1.8mm platinum band – and the wedding band is size 3, 2.5mm low dome platinum band.
Both rings are from Blue Nile. Very happy with the purchase!
(FYI, FH got a 6mm palladium band, and he loves it also!)

Wow! Now that is a beautiful set!! It looks gorgeous on your petite hand! Understated and classic glam!

@Redholix: looks great! I love mismatched width, plain bands. Are you sure those meausurements are right? The wedding band looks at least twice the width of the ering. Just wondering for my own ring 🙂

@Redholix: What a gorgeous set! I am a size 5, and had never seen a size 3 in real life before (its hard to tell sizes in pictures on the Bee), and I went to Kohls the other day and saw a size 3 ring, and it didn’t even fit my pinky! lol Its SO tiny! I’m sort of jealous of your little fingers. lol

You rings look great together! I love traditional wedding bands! They really help to make the engagement ring stand out and they just look so classy!
I plan to have a 2.5mm plain wedding band to suit the 2.0mm thickness of my engagement ring, which I just fell in love with the moment I tried it on. I wouldn’t have it any thinner!

@Kwhoa: @mypinkshoes: @This Time Round: Thank you! 😀
@medbride: Yes, the measurements are correct (at least according to the Blue Nile website). I think the wedding band looks so much thicker, because it’s a low dome style (compared to classic comfort fit style of the engagement ring). The band being flatter makes it look thicker, I think.
@LeonardLady: Thanks! FH complained to me that when he was shopping around for the engagement ring, he couldn’t find any store that carried size 3 (they all told him it had to be a special order) – and he was definitely frustrated by that. Haha. :p
@RedCushionedRoses: 2mm and 2.5mm should look great together!

Beautiful–I love a classic look! I’m also totally jealous of how large 3/4 carat looks on your tiny finger haha!

Very pretty, love that its nice and simple. But then again I am a bit biased as my future set is of a similar style. Lol.

@BlondeMissMolly: Thank you! I always boast to my FH about the tiny finger = bigger looking diamond…and insist that he appreciate my finger more! Haha. 🙂
@girlgetsring: Thanks! Hope you enjoy your future set 😀

A friend of mine has size 3 fingers too! She is itsy-bitsy in general, as I’m sure you are too!
Gorgeous set, congrats!
