So, this past Saturday I went to our florist (Enchanted Florist in Old Town Alexandria) to pick out my bouquet and put down our deposit.
This is the mockup of my bouquet. And yes, that's an artichoke. It is not going to be dead center in the bouquet. Not only that, they said they would get a fresh vivid green artichoke for my bouquet, and the roses on the left will be greener. This was just a quick mockup with what they had on hand.
I'm so excited. While I went for a classic cream and green palette, but I wanted something striking and different with succulents. :-)

This was my inspiration and the florist captured the essence of it beautifully! I wanted all white with roses, tulips, gardenias, and feathers!

My inspiration photos. I loved the first one, but most of the flowers aren't in season locally and I'm on a budget. The second I found at the florist and modified to get my final bouquet, in orange with some greenery.

We just did a flower trial run this weekend. Our colors are turquoise and magenta/pink. All the attire is in turquoise, so we used pinks and whites for the flowers. Everything was purchased from San Francisco FlowerMart and I am beyond pleased with how everything came out - and even more so after we calculated how much it would cost to do all the bouquets, centerpieces, etc.
Here is the trial run for my bridal bouquet...
peonies, ranunculus, spray roses, and wax flower.. the stems will be wrapped with turquoise ribbon.
FMIL is amazing at this flower arrangement business!

I can't find a pic of what I want and haven't made an appt with my florist. But, I'm thinking that I'm going to do pink stargazer lilies with small white orchids for my girls and then have mine be bigger and use white stargazers and pink orchids. Not sure it will work, but that's my thought for now.
Here is mine. My wife had an identical one, except that it was set up so I carried mine on my right arm and she carried hers on her left. That way, we were able to hold hands.

This is my inspiration. Even though our florist said "you dont want feathers in your bouquet, trust me" Well I do indeed want them! lol
I wanted feathers too! but I didnt...totally forgot! Here's another pic of my flowers and my MOHs...don't mind the pink pen ! : )

I love it!!! it's great!! So unique. I actually like the artichoke dead center. And love hypericum berries!! I'm using those as bouts I think.
I'm DIYing and they're super affordable.

Sigh, I love the last one...But I think I'm being talked into having a more "traditional" all white bouquet...
I haven't seen many bridal bouquets with this flower but I love it! This is my inspiration pic.

Here's mine! I DIYed my flowers with my mom's help. They are bronze football mums from fiftyflowers.com and fall bouquets from Costco!!! We had a Novemeber wedding on a farm so the colors were perfect.
