Ahhh! I would have been SO ANNOYED! By looking at your pics, I would have never known your day. You looked beautiful and I would still be so angry with that styist!!! I smiled at what your DH said, awwwww - makes it all worth it. Congrats!
Very beautiful! Glad everything worked out in the end! Crazy hair stylist! I would have killed her!
Thanks, Once the wedding was over, I sent her an e-mail letting her know how unprofessional she was and that she really need to work on her communication skills with her clients. Everything turned out great.
Beautiful. I'm soo happy another stylist stepped up and it worked out. Better late than ever:)
Can't wait to see your pro recap.
I was home by 3:00 and my wedding starts in an hour in a half and I'm no where near ready....I was an hour late to my wedding
ok, i know this is going to sound bitchy but why did did it take 2 and a half hours to put on makeup, a dress and get to the location? i understand a wedding needs more time but 2.5hrs knowing you had guests waiting, im curious. congrats, im glad in the end you are now happily married
Your hair turned out great! And you looked beautiful. Congrats!
@eloping: I was wondering the exact same thing. Also wondering why it took them 3 HOURS to do your hair. Was your new stylist also slightly crazy?
In the end, you looked beautiful, and I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of your day. Congratulations.
I am so happy that things turned out right for you.... your hair looks lovely and you and your husband are such an adorable couple.
You looked so beautiful, you can't even tell you had the troubles that you did! Congratulations!
@mrsjesse: I would think it depends on what she had done to her hair... if there was a relaxer, extensions, or color involved, it takes some time... trust me. LoL.
OP, you look gorgeous! I'm glad everything worked out in the end... can't wait to see your professional pics. :o)
@eloping: and @mrsjesse:She said no one was ready when she got to the house. Black hair is different from white hair. I've been at the salon for hours getting my hair relaxed and putting extentions in. Sewing in hair is a lot longer than clipping in extenstions. Relaxers take about 30 minutes. Black hair needs to be set instead of just taking a hair dryer to it.
If none of her girls were ready, it was quite possible that their hair needed done too. My daughter is mixed and has A LOT of hair! It took a professional 4 hours to wash it, dry it, detangle it, and straighten it. If I do that on my own at home it takes me all day.
Awww yay congrats!!!! I am sorry you went through that but you looked great!
Despite all of the drama, you looked beautiful and it seems like everything worked out in the end. Congratulations!
You look lovely, glad it all worked out in the end! Congratulations!!
that is my biggest fear when it comes to my wedding day....having to sit in the shop all day!! i am begging my stylist to come to my hotel room so that we can avoid this. in spite of the rough start, your day looks like it turned out amazing and your hair was flawless!! congrats to you and your new hubby!!
you would have never known your day looking at your pictures! You looked beautiful. May God bless you SN: im glad that hubby was cool about you runnung late!
well you'd never know your day was rocky! you both look gorgeous and happy!! congrats! :)

My wedding day started off smooth, then rocky, then smooth again. First off, I woke up early in the morning so that me and my fiance can go out to breakfast. I knew that we were going to be so busy and that they next time we eat will be at the wedding. We didn't follow that "don't see the bride before the wedding" whole thing. Besides, he wasn't going to see me all dolled up yet anyway. When we went to breakfast, my hair was pinned up in a ponytail, with sweats, and a t-shirt. So afterwards, he met up with his best man and groomsman to get dress and laugh it up before the ceremony which starts at 4:30 pm. I went straight to the hair salon. This is where it gets rocky. My appointment was for 10 am. I was supposed to be out by 12 pm and home by 12:30 so that I can wash up, go through make up, get dress, take pictures, etc. The banquet hall is only 15 minutes away. So I wasn't worried about time. Time was going to be right on. My hair stylist bailed on me at the last minute. I wanted to break down and cry. I met with her several times before my appointment to discuss the hair style I want and how long it would take to complete, etc. and the day of my wedding, this heffer did not show up and told me she didn't know I still wanted my appointment. OMG, I was screaming at her like crazy. ITS MY WEDDING DAY, WHY WOULDN'T I STILL WANT MY APPOINTMENT. Is she dumb? So I had to scramble on my wedding day to find another stylist to do my hair and I dont have an appointment and I cannot sit in a salon all day. Finally I found a salon that would do it but I didn't get into the chair until 11:30, mind you I should have been almost done with my hair by this time. I didn't get out of the salon until 2:30 pm. I was home by 3:00 and my wedding starts in an hour in a half and I'm no where near ready. What also pissed me off is that when I got to my house, my bridesmaid wasn't ready, and the flower girls and ring bearer was into everything. I'm looking at my bridesmaids like why are yall not dressed, what are you waiting for. Long story short, I was an hour late to my wedding. My fiance, our family and friends were all waiting, hungry, and tired. I was so pissed because I didn't want to make them wait like that. I personally called my husband to tell him that I'm running late and that I wasn't standing him up. He laughed and said "babe, I know you won't stand me up and I knew you were going to be late because you're not on time for anything". I was just glad he wasn't annoyed. Finally, we made it to the banquet hall and I got married. My ceremony was beautiful. We wrote our on vows and everyone loved our wedding vows. Everybody cried and told me I was worth the wait. We took pictures at a park with the photographer. Everyone enjoyed the music and the food. I was happy. We ended up going an hour over on the banquet hall and the limos. Luckily, my banquet hall was nice enough not to charge us for the extra hour, I wish I can say the same for the limo. All in all, everything was great. We dance and had a nice time and I love my husband. He truly is the best thing that ever happened to me. THESE ARE NOT THE PROFESSIONAL PICS, THESE ARE PICS FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS. WE WON'T GET THE PROFESSIONAL PICS BACK FOR A FEW WEEKS.
IN ORDER 1. me and my husband. 2. My flower girls. 3. me and hubby again. 4. me and my mom in the limo
