Hello Ladies! I’m new on Weddings bee. My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary next year in October we are renewing our vows. The first time we got married it was in court. I already bought my wedding dress and I don’t really like it anymore. Can you give me your honest opinion about it. Should I wear a bolero? I’m having a Catholic wedding. What can I do to make it look prettier? Does the dress look dated? HELP! !!!

I love the dress. Do you have a picture of you in it? That would help a lot. Yes, a bolero would be pretty.

No I don’t. I thought it looked a bit dated. I really wanted a dress that looks classic and not dated in years from now

I think it would be so gorgeous if you altered the neckline to be a V or sweetheart and got shear lace sleeves added to it! It might cost you a pretty penny for the alterations though. If you don’t like sleeves, just the neckline change would do wonders for you! Either way, it’s still beautiful as is!

Mrs.B2015: I thought about that too. But I think that would be expensive

Mrs.B2015: The thing about opinions is that everybody has one and few are the same. I think those 3 dresses all look very dated.
Jassy17: Do what makes you happy. That dress is beautiful and certainly is the polar opposite of what you likely wore to your marriage ceremony.
if you want to make some changes, rather than pay for expensive alterations, you could get the same effect as the pp is suggesting for less than $100 by simply wearing a lace bridal jacket over the dress.
just one of their jackets

Your dress looks perfect as it is to me. It’s not the slightest bit dated. For arm coverage, how about an organza or chiffon wrap?
