Hmmm...I really love the flower pot placecard idea!!!
Honestly, I think the flower seeds thing would look way cuter if it didn't have the paper flower around it. I think it would look great just in that tin maybe with a cute little ribbon around it in your wedding color.

ditto @ starlightsatine - you may be able to mimic the flower shape with the ribbon in a bow on top and use that little yellow circle as a tag or something.. I love the idea of seeds though - I'm on a major gardening kick!
I think you are making a more work for yourself with the flower portion. I think everyone will understand the tie to your theme without you having to do all that. That would be a lot of cutting, and its not like its a nice straight line.
Love the idea for place cards though!
I think the flower cutout is a bit much and would be so much extra work! Maybe you could dress it up with a little ribbon around the base of the tin; if you want to incorporate a daisy, maybe print little stickers/tags for the lid that say "grow with love" like the mock-up and have a picture of a daisy on them. Plus if they're a little bigger you could fit your names/date on the sticker as well...maybe in around the edges like a border.

I went to Michael's craft store this past weekend and picked up half of my round tins for my favors (got them 50% off!). I'm having a garden wedding so though of putting some seeds in the tins (miniature roses or daisys) but wanted to dress the tins up a bit more. Decided to make the tins into a daisy since that's the flower I have chose for my wedding! The one I made is just a mock up and the cut job, color and paper isn't what I'd be using but it's the general idea. (also wont be on white paper! that's just so I could get a better picture!) What do you guys think?
For place cards I'm thinking of using miniature clay pots and making a wire flower to stick in them and having the cards clipped ontop..haven't made this yet but will soon! what do you guys think of this idea?
