from ann taylor, it was 40% off so total price was abour $389. I’m going to my seamstress Wednesday with my short dress and now this long beauty….
I’m still deciding if I want to completely change up my look.
Here is dress 1:
and the new dress I ordered:
I dont know why the photos flipped, but you can at least get the idea. Both dresses are beautiful. I love them both . . . completely different looks. I just have to make a choice. Anyone else ever done this? 🙂

One could be for the ceremony and one for the reception. If you’re going on a honeymoon, maybe use the short one for a fancy dinner. They’re both beautiful.

MissSangria: nope I won’t buy 2 wedding dresses. In your case you can wear the long one for the ceremony and some pictures and at the reception change into the short dress.

Thank you! Ha! I was looking for ways to wear both as well. We are having a small destination wedding. I might wear the long one first then the short one when we have our party with those that couldn’t make it.

MissSangria: Oh the short dress is so cute! I love how romantic it looks. It’s beautiful.
Will you be wearin both dresses on your wedding day? Or can you not change dresses that day and are trying to decide on just 1? Maybe use the short dress for rehearsal? It would be a shame to just have to choose between just 1.

Sofetch15: Thank you! Our wedding is so small, I would find it hard to find time to change, so I would like to just wear one. I’m just not sure. I love them both!

I might wear 2 dresses. I found a simple, elegant Aline ivory dress for $131 and bought it. I really wanted a blush pink gown but my fiancé is traditional and was unhappy. I settled for the ivory. Now I’m thinking I will buy the gown that makes me happy and wear ‘his’ gown for the ceremony but mine for everything else……although if I can’t find a used blush gown I’ll wear the ivory one. It is really pretty.
i think both your dresses are beautiful! I’d wear the long one for the ceremony/pictures but the short one is a great dress to wear the next day, at the dance/reception or if your having any night before parties that works too!

I have to be honest. I don’t understand why you would buy a 2nd dress a month before the wedding when you only plan to wear one. I wore two, but I bought them both in advance, and I knew I was going to wear 2 all along.
Since you plan to wear one, then perhaps you should wear the one you love the most at the wedding. This way you will have a bunch of nice pictures in the dress, unless you will have a photographer for both events. Then you can wear the second one for the party.

Definitely find a way to wear both! I like long for the wedding because it is more formal, and then the short one for the party.

bebelicious1: when I saw the second dress, it just hit me. I thought it was so beautiful and I had to at least give it a look.
Turns out the long dress is what I’m going with. I felt so much more like a bride when I put it on.
Guess it was meant to me.
A bonus note the alterations will be less on the long dress!
