Can you delegate someone else to meet with the vendors? You should be able to enjoy your day without having to worry about all that coordination. What about a friend, bridesmaid, or mom? Can they do it?
Yay for date twins! Our wedding is also this Saturday but someone else besides me is definitely taking care of all of that crazy coordination nonsense. I'd be a ball of nerves as welll if I had all of that to worry about! But for now, I feel cool calm and collected. We'll see how long that lasts!
We do not have any bridesmaids or groomsmen. And since I planned it, I am the only one who knows how it's supposed to look.
My FI and moved to California last December, and our wedding is at my parent's ranch in Texas, we are the only ones that don't live in town, and I had to plan my wedding by myself from 1500 miles away. So I have the images in my head of where the caterer is supposed to go, the cupcakes, how the tables are supposed to look, where the candles need to be, the WHOLE wedding is my design. I don't see how anything can be delegated!!!
I WISH I was cool, calm and collected!!! Every passing hour it's getting worse!!!
And like I said, I live 1500 miles away (we don't fly in until Wednesday) so there's no way to meet with anyone and delegate anything!
Oh lord I hope this all goes well.
It's going to be beautiful! Just remember, at the end of the day you will be married to the love of your life, and that is all that matters! (oh, I wish my wedding were this Saturday... ;-) )
I'm probably going to get some funny pictures of me with my hair in rollers and my makeup half done running around outside with the vendors!!! The photographers will be there capture all of this lol
Everything will be fine. I also planned FI and I's wedding with no planner. But I did delegate my moms best friend to meet with all the vendors, and her along with my grandmother are in charge of set up of the venues. I think you will feel a lot less stressed if you find someone to be in charge of that kind of stuff like a DOC.
I'm getting married Saturday too.
I pick up my dress and drive up to Maine tomorrow. My main concern is weather and I have NO control over that.
I just can't wait until Friday evening after I've had that first glass of wine and relaxed at the rehearsal dinner...
Hopefully I make it til then!
I understand!
We are hosting our wedding on the farm where we live. We are 2000 miles from out nearest relatives, so I've been the sole contact point with all of the vendors. Luckily, my mom and sister are coming in tomorrow to help with last minute prep. I got some great last minute advice from my cousin who just got married in August...everyone is coming to see YOU happy! So just enjoy and know your guests won't realize if you don't complete every little detail you imagined, they'll only see you and your fiance happy and excited to become husband and wife! Good luck ladies!!! :)
@bekahbee: I feel better knowing a wedding date twin has the same situation as me!!!
I guess I'm just gonn have to wing it on Saturday :)
@mhackney21: We got it, girl! Good luck to you...it's going to be AWESOME no matter what!

Sooooo, are any other 9/24 brides starting to get nervous? I'm f.r.e.a.k.i.n.g o.u.t.
I have all the what-if's starting to plague me! What if no one shows up, what if no one has fun, what if a vendor is late, what if everyone hates my dress, what if I forget something, what if I can't get my hair to look right, what if what if what if.
And I'm super nervous about the thought of being the center of attention when I walk out for the first time.
I planned my whole wedding myself, without a wedding planner, so it just hit me that in between getting my hair and makeup done, I have to run outside and meet with the vendors and tell them how to set up! (our wedding is outside at my parent's ranch)
Is anyone else going through this?
