Wanted to share, just for fun 🙂 Please comment, I’d love to hear your suggestions or feedback!
Setting: July 19, 2014 at a historic farm property. The ceremony will be on a patio overlooking the rolling pastures. The patio is partially shaded by surrounding trees. Cocktail hour will be on the same patio and surrounding lawn. Dinner & dancing in the barn.

What I’m looking forard to most: Ceremony, especially walking down the aisle to him as I am surrounded by everyone I love 🙂 My favorite uncle will be conducting the ceremony! I think it makes the ceremony so special and intimate 🙂 We picked readings from “The Little Prince” that are really moving — I’m looking forward to the emotion of that! Also we are writing our own vows
Worries: Weather! Rain or too hot!

Our theme is meant to bee!
There will be lawn games! If I can save up for it, I would love to have this giant chess set for the guests to play with during cocktail hour! Also hope to include bocce, croquet, horseshoes, and cornhole. FI and I originally wanted even more activities such as a hay ride and farm animal petting zoo! (A bit silly I know, but it reflects our fun-loving, childhood-embracing personalities!) But we decided the lawn games would probably suffice 😉
My dress is Demetrios 1443 — shh don’t tell anyone!! 😉 I might accessorize with a tiara of fresh flowers — I love that look because it kind of adds something free-spirited and wild… kind of inspires me to walk down the aisle barefoot haha
Casual navy bridesmaid dresses. BMs will pick their own dresses, something along these lines.
Hoping to get all our flowers and decor from the farmer’s market
We’re splurging on food! The menu theme is southern gourmet, so upscale versions of southern comfort foods. It will be served as a buffet. Some ideas so far:
Signature drink: Margarita
Hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour (we will probably narrow down to 3): pimento cheese tartlets with red pepper jelly, mini crab cakes with aioli and microgreens, bite-size fried chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits in a shot glass, bacon cheeseburger sliders, cold soup shooters
Main course: pork BBQ sandwich, or basil & peach chicken with goat cheese (vegetarians can take mac & cheese as their main course)
Sides: mac & cheese, grilled vegetables, cornbread, collard greens
