So I bought my shoes pretty soon after I bought my dress in November. I got on the DSW website and found a beautiful lilac pair of Lulu Townsend satin platforms on sale for $25(Woo hoo! So I thought.). Silly me, I didn’t read closely the heel height (4″ plus 3/4″ platform). When the shoes came, I was delighted and brought lovely brooches to put on the peep toe. Then one night, I asked FI to go put on a pair of his dress shoes and stand in front of me because I suspected that they were too high. Fortunately, I wasn’t taller than him (by barely and inch), but I was still dissatified at the height, but I tried to move on. The next night, I decided to put the heels on a bit and walk around to break them in….I less than an hour my feet were KILLING ME!!! Also, the shoe height coupled with no traction had me slipping and walking awkwardly because the tip of the platform turns up a bit. The shoe was so steep, that my feet were sliding to the front and my toes were jammed into the peep toe. Plus the shoe is soooooo stiff, and won’t allow for the natural flexing motion of my toes. OH heck no! I will not be an uncomfortable mess on my wedding day! I also want to be able to wear the shoes again, so I ordered another pair (HEEL HEIGHT TESTED AND APPROVED) from modcloth. I can’t wait until they arrive!
I love any shade of purple, so I was so glad to find these and at a great price too! The heel is low enough for comfort and I can totally wear these again! We’ll see!
What I had: Lulu Townsend Daffodil in Lilac
What I ordered: Modcloth Get It, Got It, Go-See Heel in Lavender (I might add a brooch/shoe clip)
