- Wedding: December 1969
I am engaged and this will be my third marriage. My first wedding was the traditional ceremony in a church with family and friends. I wore my aunt’s wedding dress. The wedding was lovely and I cried all the way through it, so I don’t remember much of it.
The second was a rebound, quickee wedding. The groom lived with me for about a week before I asked him to leave. Shall we say Con Man?! I got a divorce by advertising in the paper–it only lasted a few months.
For this wedding I would like it to be a well thought out, meaningful wedding. I have no idea what to wear, would like an incredibly beautiful dress–but not the traditional wedding dress. Something that I look stunning in. My favorite color is red. I found the satin bridal shoes!
They are beautiful red and white polka dot satin shoes. I love looking at them. They are comfortable shoes, too. The ankle strap high heels are what I am going to wear for my wedding.
So, now my work is cut out for me, finding a dress that will go with the dress! Then, there is the jewelry and the flowers and the bouquet…
I already have my wedding ring–it is attached to my engagement ring. My honey had my ring custom made at Abla Jewelers in Marysville, California by Vicky Young. She did an incredible job of finding a pear shaped diamond at a great price and of getting the setting made for it. More on that in my next post.
Two down, may more to go!
