I wish I had new pictures of my dress, but short of making an appointment at the salon to put it on again, the old ones will have to do. Eventually, I'll make one and take all of this with me. :)
My DIY birdcage veil and cluster necklace (I'll be replacing the chain with pink ribbon):
Bracelets (replacing the black ribbon with the same pink from the necklace):
Shoes (they have a white bow on the toe now):
Nails (but with a lighter pink):
@vorpalette: You're gorgeous btw. but thats off topic? I love everything but the nails. The rest is so classic and elegant while the nails scream immature trendy. Perhaps if you did the pink and a see through light glitter on the off color nail? then you get the look without it screaming anything in particular?
It wouldn't be those exact shades since it depends on what shellac shades my salon has--but that glitter shade is one of my wedding colors (hence using a lighter pink, also one of my wedding colors). That's also how I do my nails most of the time, and I get a lot of compliments on it.
@vorpalette: I love everything! I love that dress, but it doesn't fit my body type. My only suggestion would be to keep an eye on the makeup (do a trial) so it doesn't become too dark...everything else seems so soft and and classic. I think the nails are such a subtle addition it's OK if they're trendy. I certainly don't find them immature...
@Mars62312: Eh, I've heard lots of negative reactions to the one finger accent, but only online. Like I said, I always get tons of compliments in person. :)
And I totally agree on the eye makeup. I think I'm leaning more towards that second one, as much as I love the first, but with heavier liner.
Lovely ensemble!! tbh I like the first eye makeup with gold more than the second, but maybe with a softer liner.
Love the look! Its all comes together great! I would go with the 2nd eye make up, the first is very pretty but a little too much especially with the light pink accessories. I also think the nails are great, definitely agree it needs to be a lighter pink but otherwise the accent nail is awesome especially because its the finger you will be wearing your new ring on :)
@vorpalette: I love it all except the shoes. Actually nobody is going to see them and they look comfy so I understand being practical. You will look amazing! One last thing, the red lipstick looks nice on you. It gives the whole look a vintage classic feel to me. The pink is pretty too.
@Soladylike: I'm still kinda 50-50 on the shoes. I have no idea how they look with my dress (I hadn't DIYed them yet the last time I tried on my dress; they were silver with a big rhinestone thing on the toe, and I hated them, hence why I DIYed them). The lipstick was just for the photo, though, definitely not wearing that on the day of. :)
i love everything about it!!!!
Love the nails! :)
Gorgeous!!! I like the 2nd makeup version as well. :)
loveee your dress
Because I'm still iffy on the shoes, anyone have any suggestions?
love EVERYTHING! your dress is amazing - i have to say that i like the second makeup photo best, it seems to fit in with the rest of your look more than the first. you are going to look gorge!
@vorpalette: I really like those shoes! They're fun but classy. (The whole looks is great - exciting!)
I love everything! Im glad Im not the only one that planned every little detail out already lol. You are going to make a beautiful bride :)
@vorpalette: i love you whole look and i love love love you dress and the way it fits you Gorgous, Beautiful Stunning dress on you.
@vorpalette: i totally love the one finger accent and have been doing it for about a year now, and now i think i'm not going to do it for the wedding because i worry it'll look too trendy. i totally get doing it for the wedding, so if you're sure you'll love it in a few years then stick with it! otherwise, i do like the suggestion of a subtle glitter over the pink.
and on the topic of the shoes, i really like them!
Thank you, ladies! <3
@stephko99: Haha, I can't help it. I don't really have much to do right now as far as wedding stuff goes, so I might as well do something!
@sleepyhead22: Ooh, glitter over a light pink would be nice, too.
@vorpalette: If your salon has the shellac shade "rosebud" it would be perfect!!! I had that colour done last week, and it was soft pink, but not too bright and candy like.... it would be beautiful for your wedding, and totally reflective of the photo you showed as your inspiration :)
I love the whole thing...very goddess like!
I love what you put together! It brings out your personality!
I think the make up, nail, shoes and bracelet go well together. They are more on the contemporary side. But I'm not sure if the birdcage would. I feel like birdcage is more vintage and something either neutral/nude tone or red would work better.
If you keep the other gold/brown tone, keep the rest and maybe replace the birdcage with something like flowers?
Also the necklace might also make the whole look too clusted. The dress has gorgeous neckline. The large necklace might take the focus away from that.
@jansnowdrops: I guess I'm confused what neutral/nude/red and gold/brown are you talking about?
I love every detail and adore your dress!!!
I missed this post last week.
I think that you're going to look beautiful with all of this put together!!!
That is a great look, and I love your dress! You are right, it is similar to the one I just bought... And you make me like mine more! I love your sparkles and the birdcage veil is so adorable!!
In LOVE with your dress! I think the whole look is great :)
You are so gorgeous! And I think everything is perfect! (especially your dress)
@texasrandi: @MLDoddie: @Quickiebee: @dreamocracy: @MissMfutureMrsB: Thank you, ladies! I won't be picking my dress up for probably another couple of months, and I can't wait to put everything on and see it! I have another pair of shoes in mind if my glitter flats don't work out.
Your dress is stunning, and love the eye make up choices. You will look great :)
