I am considering ordering my wedding album from them.  I quite fancy  the leather bound album,  is that what yours is? and if so  is it nice?

What paper option did you use? Any more details/review?

Thank you, I actually read that entire review! It’s how I narrowed down to My Publisher, plus their deals. Maybe once we get caught up financially, we will look into a higher quality album. But for now and the price, seems like a great option.

Was worried if the Super Gloss would be too much, if the Satin is better suited for wedding photos. Super Gloss is included in the current deal.

I always go for matte/luster/satin type finishes, I hate gloss as a photographer. I think its makes photos look blah and its can show scratches more.

Press books are not archival but they are great for a “for now book” and family gifts. (with the right co. Snapfish was total junk!)

That’s what I’ve seen preferred by most photographers. They just posted 50% off, so I can choose the satin Lay flay now and more pages.

They claim “archival-quality” http://www.mypublisher.com/products/paperoptions

Archival-quality- They are not trust me. lol They may claim that buts its not.. If it was they would cost way more..

Archival-quality is made with actual professional photo paper, press books are not made of that, period. However they are really good for the price point and they do offer better paper upgrades, really its just a bit thicker, I think its work the thicker paper. They are made more like magazine pages, its paper, not photo paper.

Adoramapix and My Publisher are my favs I offer for my econo style books, mainly for boudoir and family photos. Once in a while I have a wedding couple order one. Id rather offer a good press book than them to have no album at all or go with a crap press book co on their own. So many leave their photos trapped on disc/computer..

Just ordered my mom’s book for Christmas! Had a living social deal $19 for 20 page Deluxe hardcover photo finish. Added 2 pages plus shipping only $34 total including the deal!

Chose the satin paper which I hope we like best. Have my Dad’s & grandparents’ books (both Classic size $10 each with deal) ready to print once it arrives. Thinking I will go grandparents’ in matte to compare and will upgrade both to deluxe paper. Still have to make book for in-laws Deluxe, and finally our’s…  Doing Deluxe, photo hardcover, Lay-Flat, up to 100 (likely satin) pages for our book. Grabbed a 50% coupon currently online.

Using the software was a breeze. I still spent hours yesterday and a little today making minor adjustments no one would even know about.  But loved how easy (mostly) they were: zoom, move, enlarge boxes to the edges, etc. Of course it crashed on me once (after I realized I should be saving constantly, thankfully.) (non-perfctionists can easily make a great book in minutes.) Might want to save after each page regardless.

Tip I have learned reading online. DO NOT PLACE YOUR ORDER USING WIFI. It takes a long time to load your book. You want a wired connection to ensure every bit goes through. One guy had to reorder since his book went through incomplete. I had to F5 a couple times to move it along while going through upgrades duing checkout.

I am halfway through designing my album,  and I have a 50%  off voucher …..so I am making it with leather cover, lay flat pages  and the best paper option…..because at 50%  discount I can afford to.
