You can have events on the beach, however, you are limited to what you can do. You are not allowed to have any glass or paper products on the beach and there are only certain areas that you can do things like this. What about the wedding area of the hotel, is it an option?
thanks, maybride. I kind of figured that was the rule for the beach. We want something a little more different and casual than what the hotel offers. They'll probably have the actual rehearsal there but want to have the dinner part somewhere else. Maybe we could rent a restaurant or bar?

Hi Bees! My wedding is (long) over but my brother is now engaged! They have decided to have a destination wedding at the Breakers resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. My mom is a little wigged out about planning a rehearsal dinner long distance... she'd like to have some kind of welcome cookout/dinner/pig picking but we have no idea where! Our family has never vacationed there, just his FI's. Anyone have a great suggestion? Is it possible to rent the beach? LOL
