I went with Hoelcks in Waterford, and was quoted just over $500 (with tax, no delivery - they're just around the corner from me) for my bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 2 corsages for moms, and 5 bouts. I thought that was pretty decent pricing for around here.
I paid about 1800 total. I had 1 brides bouquet, 3 bridesmaids, 8 bouts, 18 tables, 3 MOB/GOB wristlets, 1 arrangement for the candy buffet, 10 parasols.
We used Hydrangeas, mokara orchids, cymbidium orchids, and lillies.
Most places are willing to work within your budget.
These prices are actually really quite encouraging! Thanks ladies.
WOW. Where I live in CT, finding a florist for under $3k is hard to find.....and most of my friends are quoted double if not more than that price.
Good luck!
Yeah, I had some crazy quotes the worst being 6K but it ended up being a case of shopping around. Also not having any lilies, orchids or peopnies goes a long way to bringing costs down.
im haven't really meet with anybody but if you have any recommendations let me know... my budget is NO MORE than 2k
Waht part of Connecticut? I'm spending abetween $1000 and $1500 depending on how many guests I end up with. I went with McQuades in Mystic. Their floral dept is great and really offers bang for your buck.
Ah! I love McQuades - it's a great market, and really good floral department. Nice people, too.
I love McQuades too. They are so lovely and honestly the floral prices are fabulous. I'm so excited to have been able to use them in some way.

I hope this isn't too intrusive a question, but what sort of prices are people being quoted for florists in the area?
