Maybe you can tell me the point of nail rings? I’ve seen them before, but aside from decoration…. is there a reason to have one? I can just imagine getting it snagged on something and rip off my entire nail. Eek.

Edit: I lived and worked on a farm, so I guess I’m more practical when it comes to my clothing and nails. It’s in my blood to think, “That can snag on something and then I’ll be in a hell of a lot of pain.” I guess it applies to “practical life” too. Getting it snagged on a chainlink fence, in your keys, or on some sort of branch or what have you if you live in a woodsy area. Then again, I wouldn’t imagine people with done up nails would go camping or hiking much. Just sayin.

Oh, I’ve seen some outrageous ones (I used to work in a very upper class sporting goods store and some of these women.. eesh.)

I was just curious. Thanks for the insight!

Yayyy! A nail art thread! Tongue Out

I’m pretty much a nail art addict! I do my nails every 3-4 days maximum, and I love doing quirky things! Laughing I used to bite my nails right down to the life, and stopped about 4 years ago, and ever since then nail art has become an obsession. It’s a great aid to study procrastination Wink

Here are a few pictures of my nail art. I’ll try and upload a few more tomorrow!

    Sorry for the huge photo’s!!

These are my nails from today (I’ll try and get a better picture of them)

@shadesofviolet:  Thank you! Smile I used to have really paper thin nails too, but I just made sure that I always had about 6 coats of nail polish on, and now they’re really strong Smile

Your strawberries are so cute!!! And so neat too!

Awesome nails everyone! I can barely paint my nails one color, but I am a huge fan of nail art! I want to get some for my wedding, so I’ve been looking at a ton of designs. Here’s some of my faves (NOT done by me!):

I paint my nails constantly, but I suck at doing art on them =(

I’d the few pictures I have of mine, but the uploader is acting up on me.

@LaCroix:  Love the first set! Although I couldn’t imagine being able to wear any of them without them getting in the way. Especially that last one.
