I’m going to a military ball in a month and I need help deciding what nail design would like nice! I’m currently working for my RN in school right now and I’m not allowed to have acryllic or painted nails, thankfully, the ball happens the weekend after my last day of clinicals so I will be able to do something fun!
I’m not a frilly type of girl, I love to wear black and edgy/modern/minimalist things. I love the idea of something matte black, my dress is going to be a floor length Jovani gown, mostly black, and have colored jewels on the bodice (I will post a picture of it). I’m planning to wear sequin/stud 6 inch Aldo wedges with it which are pretty cool as well. I’m still deciding on jewelry, I was thinking of a jeweled slave bracelet or something.
Anywho, this night is important because it’s very possible my SO MIGHT pop the question.(Or it will happen closer to christmas, but can you imagine how romantic at a ball?!). I have very small childlike hands that are neither chubby nor skinny, so I would love to have some natural rounded shaped nails that help elongate and flatter my fingers. I’ll post 4 of my top ideas below as for nail designs, please let me know which you like best or press other and post a picture of a nail design you think might work for me!
Here is the dress I am wearing, the top is very sparkly in person and the black is more of a matte fabric.
Nail Design #1, I love the ombre effect with the natural nail color, I think it’s very interesting
Nail Design #2, this is shiney black istead of matte, I love the edgey silver stripe
Nail Design #3 Something with a little color! I like this idea, I’m just worried about looking to kiddish (I’m 21 but I look like I’m 16 so I’m curious if this looks too young)
If you don’t like any of these 3 options to go with my dress, PLEASE feel free to post pictures of nail designs you think might be great! I haven’t gotten my nails done in 3 years so I’m really looking forward to your ideas! If you see anything really intricate, go ahead and share them with me! I have a great local nail salon owned by an asian family and they are very skilled with designs!
