I prefer to keep my French manicured, or with a shade of pink. This is the color I had on when I got engaged!
I keep my nails short, so the only way to make them look nice is to have some kind of polish on them.
after getting my engagement ring, I started to paint my nails so often I was worried they would fall off!
lately I have been using a nail buffer so that I can still make them look nice w/o the chemicals.
I have had acrylic pink and white nails for years so I was prepared for an e-ring. ;)
I do when I can... bartending beats my hands up and chips fast! But right now I have Blue It on by Sally Hansen LOVE IT!! Its fun and pretty:) I discovered using OPI clear top coat over my polish it does not chip at all!! I usually have some off by day 2 or so but its still on!
Color on my nails makes my hands look shorter and chubbier, so I usually don't. Lol. I keep them coated in clear, but that's about it. For fancy stuff (you know, like the wedding) I'll get a french manicure.
I always have a french manicure...I am addicted to them! I think french manicures compliment rings the best :)

My nails are pretty much always painted and they were before the ring too ;) I find doing my nails relaxing haha.
I started getting my nails done so that I would stop biting them (I work in a lab with all kinds of toxic chemcials, so it's probably pretty important that I keep my fingers out of my mouth haha)...now I just love the way they look polished and I can't stop!
Um, I wear it just as occasionally as I did before. I like it, I just don't often have the time to do it myself or go in for a manicure. Not sure there's an option for that. :)
I love having nail polish on now that I have my engagement ring! The only problem is I'm crazy busy so I don't often have time to do my nails. Right now I have chipped pink polish on. I'm a teacher and it's finals week, so I have to grade the mountain of finals I have before I can paint my nails! :)
If I'm wearing polish, it's generally a totally ridiculous (a.k.a. awesome) color like creme jade green or hot pink. Usually my nails are naked though.
I agree with a PP who said painting her nails makes fingers look shorter and chubbier, so I don't paint mine any bright colors. I usually stick with non-painted, but otherwise a nice clear coat or nude or blush color works well. Neutral stuff.
I currently have platinum glitter polish on my married finger! Not much takes away from bling!
I don't usually wear nail polish because of work, but I decided to paint them this past weekend and couldn't believe how much MORE it showed off my ring! The dark nail polish really contrasts with the bright white gold and makes the thing sparkle. Or maybe it's just my imagination, but I think it looks great!
I only recently started wearing nail polish regularly because up until like three months ago, I never found a brand that wouldn't chip immediately. Seriously, I could get a professional manicure and it would be chipped before I walked out of the salon. The gel manicures that are supposed to last 2-3 weeks, I'm lucky to get 10 or 11 days.
I recently found NutraNail's at home gel works really well though- it lasts 3-4 days, depending. It's a pain because you have to use pure acetone to remove it, so you can't really keep the nails painted all the time, but I like it for weddings and stuff. And I love the look of dark nail polish with my ring, I think it makes it look sparklier :)

I see lots of posters wearing nail polish in their pictures and I think it looks good, but whenever i wear a color on my nails I feel like it takes away from my ring and I immediately wish I hadn't done my nails! Anyone else ever feel this way?
