I think my stash is double that right now! I need to throw some out though.

I accumulated most of my collection in college when my roommates and I would do our nails together every weekend but now that I’m working full-time it’s slowed down to once a month. You have a much bigger variety of colors! Mine tends to all be pastels or duplicates and various shades of red. I tend to buy Sally Hansen or Etsy.

Haha, oh yes! Mine is at least that, if not bigger!

I am obsessed with gel nail polish right now so I have to have a light too!

I have probably twice as much but do need to throw some out.  I normally get a gel manicure but I absolutely LOVE the Sephora Forumla X polish. It stays on SO WELL and doesn’t chip off.  Love it.

Totalkaos1983:  That doesn’t seem like much at all. I have an entire drawer full and I hardly even wear polish… thanks Julep. D:

But seriously, speaking of insane collections… I have that 9-drawer set from Ikea (–drawers__0085835_PE213729_S4.JPG), and 6 drawers of it are full of makeup, haha. One has my nail polish and the other two have candles… I have a problem.

I have that much, all OPI and Essie. It’s addicting!

I have a ton of Essie ever since I discovered I can get it on Amazon for so much cheaper! You’re not alone, OP.

I am a nail polish collector I guess you could say! I have around 250 bottles.

My fav brands are definitely Zoya, Orly, and China Glaze. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I used to have a bunch of Essie polishes because when I first started collecting, they were popular. Then I realized despite how “popular” they were, I hate the brush, the formula consistantly sucks, and it’s just not worth it. So I gave many away. Same goes for OPI. I don’t like their brush, that’s my biggest complaint. Their formula isn’t bad to work with, but it chips on me like the next day. OPI has a much better selection than Essie, though, so I didn’t give away many OPI polishes. Essie is just never that unique.

Totalkaos1983:  Yes! My collection is slightly larger, but I haven’t been actively doing my nails for a while now so they’re still sitting in a big box in my closet since we moved into our house last summer.  I also own a lot of nail art suppiies like specialty brushes, stamping templates, dotting tools, etc and it’s sad I don’t get the chance to do use them as often anymore.

I have the Red Carpet gel manicure kit and since there’s a local wholesale nail supply store that caters to my area’s nail salons, I get LED gel polishes for super cheap so I don’t use my regular polishes as much.

at last count, i had 298 bottles. that being said, i’m a licensed manicurist, and my collection is because i used it when i worked in salons (i did some clients at home).

140 of those bottles are OPI. the rest are essie and china glaze.
