Nail Polish as Shower Favors

I’ve heard good things about China Glaze, which I think is like $3-4 per bottle for a lot of the colors. I haven’t tried it personally though. I’m a Essie + OPI user.

EDIT: Also, shouldn’t the person throwing your shower be footing the bill for favors?

I was at a shower recently that had nail polish as part of the favor.  Most were left behind, unfortunately. Just a heads up.

I’m pretty particular and only use OPI nail polishes, so if it wasn’t my brand, I’d have no use for it.

<br />I second @eecuadrado.  I love Sinful and they’re about $1.99.  What about a variation of pinks?  I remember at my friend’s shower she gave out Bath and Body hand soaps and we were swapping them all over the place which was kind of fun 🙂

Another vote for Sinful Colors…$1.99 at Walgreens.

Sally Hansen – Hard as Nails Extreme nail color is good to and it’s $2.99 at Ulta.

Sally Hanson’s Quick Dry is my FAVORITE brand. I prefer it over Essie and OPI. I actually got a ridiculous amount of Essie nail polish for my birthday one year (I’m talking 20-30 bottles from a friend who worked at a beauty store going out of business). I was disappointed with the texture it had when applied. I ended up boxing them up and never using them. I recently gave all of my colors to my older sister who is OBSESSED with Essie and is now doing her own manicures.

Sally Hanson’s Quick Dry goes on thick and *shockingly* dries very quickly. I found one coat usually does it, but in lighter colors, maybe two. I would suggest this for sure! I’ve found them at Target for closer to $4, but you can always find coupons and gift card promotions from Target that you could save up!

If you have a friend with a beautician license (or are a loyal client at a hair or nail salon) they can order it for you at closer to your price range. Even buying it this way though I don’t know that you can get Essie or OPI at $2-$3.

Sinful colors is AWFUL about staining your nails if you use a blue or green. Essie is always a hot streaky mess for me, and I definitely prefer OPI over all the other brands. China glaze is great too, but I’ve only ever used their glitters.
