Nail polish recommendations?

posted 3 months ago in Beehive

I plan on doing my own nails for my wedding, but will have to do so a day or so before the big day.

My job is very trying on my hands and was wondering what brand of nail polish you ladies find holds up the best. Suggestions?

Thanks!

I love OPI. Just use a good base coat and top coat and it will last.

I am an OPI fanatic.  My absolute favorite for almost any occaision is "shanghai shimmer."  My second favorite is "I'm not really a waitress".

I really like Sally Hansen. There is one particular type that comes with an extra wide brush so you'll have fewer mistakes. I think its called "quick and chic" but it doesn't have the same amount of options as others.

OPI is good too

I am an Essie lover and if you are looking for a pale pink mademoiselle or sugar daddy are very neutral.  It you want a little more pink in there try adorable.

I'm using 'catch the garter' from OPI. It's the perfect shade of pink!

OPI! I use a pearly white called Bubble Bath.

I'm an Essie fan- and if you choose a pale/neutral like pinklau suggested, even if there are some chips or imperfections they won't be noticable.

I swear by OPI, but if your hands really take a beating at work, you may still need a touch up on the day of your wedding. I would suggest doing an at-home manicure a few days before your wedding, and then doing the actual polish on the morning of, while your hair or something else is being done.

I'll be wearing OPI Diva Bride. OPI color is sturdy and doesn't chip, especially when combined with a base and clear top coat, and that color is the perfect pale peach for my skin shade.
