It looks like the best way to change your name with the credit agencies is to contact them yourself. I am sending out letters like this: http://auto-loan.interest.com/content/worksheets/June07_work_sheet_name_change_a1.asp to all the credit agencies to make sure that they know that I am the same person and move the information over to my new name. Hope this helps!

I changed my name months ago, but when I went to annualcreditreport.com to get my free credit report, Experian didn't recognize my new name. I had no problem with Equifax or TransUnion. I have a feeling that Experian still has my old name, and my old address. Has anyone else had this happen?
