Whenever you log into a website, go into the account settings and change the login credentials to your new email.
I'd forward over your old emails to your new account. I have all of my gmail accounts tied together, so I can view them all on one login. As I log into a website to order something, I double check the name and email and change it if need be.
Make sure you always check your name if you do in-store pickup somewhere! I just picked up an item from Best Buy this past week and it was still in my maiden name. Oops. The guy wasn't too thrilled with me, but eventually let me have my item (I had an old college ID with my maiden name with me still, and some other misc. non-photo id things).

Do any of you have tips on changing your name? I did the legal stuff right off the bat (social security, DMV) but I changed email addresses (gmail to gmail) and don't know how to go about phasing out the old one! I've had my old one so long that I don't even know where to start - I'm a dummy for not saving all my contacts in it.
I also have a blogger account I'd like to switch to my new email address, but it looks like I'd have to re-subscribe to every. single. blog. if I changed my addy. Help!
I'm going crazy with all the things I have to change my name on.
