I have my driver’s license changed (still waiting on the actual card though), and did a statuatory declaration to change my name at work (military, thaat’s why it’s like that). After signing my new name to the stat dec, I signed for some mail in my maiden name!
I can’t figure out if I can start signing everything in my new name just yet. When were you all able to make the switch? Did you use both for a while?

I’ve been married for a bit over ten months now, changed my name about six months ago…and I’m still getting used to it! But since your license will now have your new last name, I’d say to start signing things and introducing yourself using that one. You’ll still slip up, happens to me still where every now and then I’ll initial or sign off on something using my old last name, and I still respond to it when people say it. Just takes time, I guess!

5 months in and I’m still double checking stuff to make sure I put down the right name.
Also, I only changed my name on important things like my driver’s license and social security. Everything else still has my maiden name until it’s convenient enough to change it. My debit card and all my checks still have my maiden name.

I’m having the same problem. I’ve changed my social security card and driver’s license, I’ve received both. But I’m applying for jobs and my email has my maiden name in it. I haven’t changed my bank accounts (hopefully today), haven’t changed my bills yet. SO I’m in limbo too on what to call myself! 🙂 I guess its a good problem to have.

I can’t change my name until USCIS gets back to me and I get a new green card. Until then, I’m still signing in my maiden name..
