I like the idea of Lilli- she was the feline tight rope artist on the Dumbo's Circus tv show back in the day!
I also named one of our first cats Sebastian after that show. :o)
She looks a lot like my cat Daisy! Daisy was a wonderful kitty. I got her for my sixth birthday, and she was my BFF. She unfortunately passed away a few years ago (at the ripe old age of 15), but she was a great cat. :)
I really don't like the name Romy.
KC (ca-sey) - for kitty cat.. what a Cutie pie!!
I like Zoey and Marie but if you can't decide maybe stay on the search.
Ivy?
Echo?
Livy? Liby?
Alibi?
Cameo?
Molly? Polly? Holly?
Dixie?
Pepper?
Jinx?
Pax?
Marny?
How old is she? I don't know why but for some reason when I saw her I thought she looked like a "Smoosh"
I'd go with Romy or Marie.
Very cute kitty BTW!!
Very cute kitty!!!!!!!! I like pet names that end in a Y sound =) like most of those. . . Zoey is my fav!!!
I think you should go with other - you have pretty much ruled out all those names :) There are some cute suggestions on here. I like Daisy a lot for her!
We had a cat named BC (Bad Cat) because he looked like a real bad @$$. lol. We also named some of our cats after movie characters. We watched the movie Cat Ballou and named a bunch of our cats out of that. (Cat Ballou, Kid Shellen, Clay Boone, and Jed) We also named a chicken Napolean because he was short like the General. lol. I say find something fun and go with it.
Since she took care of DH when he was sick, how about Nurse Kitty heehee
I just wanted to point out that you could totally name her Claire! (that's on my baby name list too) My parents had a cat called Murdoch and it's my little brother's middle name. My grandmother spent the whole pregnancy going "you can't name him after the CAT!" Mama just said they liked the name. Likewise FI and I love the name Teague and that was another cat's name. It's totally do-able. =P
But if you still don't want to use it, I adore Marie :)
Great you guys, now I'll never choose just 1 name for her :P. Ha you're giving me so many great name options, thank you!
The card on her kennel said she's 8 weeks old (& they made the card on 9/1), but her medical chart said she was born 6/22 & got to the shelter 7/22 & I adopted her on 9/2. So that'd make her 12 weeks, but she's really tiny, so I'll ask the vet when she goes in on Thurs.
Ah! I need to decide by Thurs, I just called the vet & they asked for her name & I said "new kitty" lol. Hmmm, at least I have 2 days!
Adorable! Looks very much like our kitten Mu, who incidentally 'took care' of me today while I was delirious & feverish in bed :)
I would definitely go with something you both love & that isn't a name you would want to use on a little human in the future :)
When we named our kitten we chose something that suited his personality (energetic, curious, fearless and a little crazy--he would attack our 12lbs tomcat even though he only weighed 2lbs!) so we went with the name Mugen (from anime Samurai Champloo) because the character is wild, fearless, undisciplined Ronin; also because in the series the kanji for the characters name is infinity, and this is the kitties forever home :)
Of your poll options, I like Zoey and Claire.
But I really like the PPs suggestion of Daisy!
I just sent DH a long text with a TON of new name ideas & am waiting on his reply :). I need to go home & try out a lot of names on her!
@Elvis: Friday - can't use it. Our roomie would tease us by singing the Friday song that gets stuck in my head! However, I know somone who named their dog "DOG" & pronounced it Di-oh-G.
@Mrs.tobe: Lilli - is that pronounced like Lily?
@GreenEyedMoon: & @sarahbabs: Love that name, but that's my mom's dog's name.
@TeamMcGowan: We know someone with that name :(. We don't want to use a name of someone we know. DH's parents have a dog named Cody & its also our good friend's name... its so confusing! Cody got into the trash again... just sounds funny to me.
@MissPumpkinPie: I miss Heroes, I'm sad it was cancelled. I heard there was going to be a movie, but I guess it didn't work out :(.
@kala_way: I like a lot of those names, hopefully DH will too.
@Ember78: & @SuperKate: & @chellology: & @amityjane: Thank you :)
@KatyElle: My last posed explained the age dillema, but she's between 8-12 weeks. & Smoosh - I love that name/ word. But it cracks me up because its so cute every time I say it out loud. I wouldn't be able to ever just call her without laughing :). It would be like Sm-hahaahah - Smoo hahaahahahHA - Smoosh hhahaahahahhha. I'm not making fun of it! Idk, that word makes me laugh a lot & idk why, but I'd never stay mad at her with that name! :)
@cardus: Could be Pip for short :). Those two names are on the list to DH!
@bride21: Thanks! We like original names too, but for some reason our pets have semi-common human names.
@linguo42: I had a cat named Sassy, named after the Homeward Bound movie. I can't reuse it, but I love the spelling of it, Sazzy.
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Nurse kitty :)
@Misfit: That would almost work... but *if* we have kids it would be within the next 3-7 years
@missmouse29: Well he doesn't hate Romy, but doesn't like it either... same with me & Zoey, so they're still slightly in consideration. Post a pic of your kitty, please. DH had a kitty named Moo but he ran away :(. Your Mu sounds like a crazy kitten with a soft spot :).
@Mrs.KMM: Thanks! Daisy is my mom's dog's name so I can't use it :(. DH says if we pick Zoey, we can call her Zoe for short!
Its kinda silly its so hard to name her!
Oh I forgot about the name Ella. What do you think of Ella?
she has an M on her head.... maybe take that as a hint to go with marie
I like Pepper for her!! Or maybe a slight variation of that... Piper.
Ohhh or Pippa would be cute too.
she does have an M on her forehead!
What about Minxy
@Mrs.tobe: I like Lilli/Lily, a lot :). I've been searching the inet for cat names & most of the names you Bees posted, I didn't see anywhere. I could see her as Lilli or Lily :).
@MyFavouriteChords: She does have the M stamp! I think I focus more on the little white dot above her nose. Maybe it is a sign...

cujo or kitty spawn of death
that cute look in the pic is all a front i tell you!
Have you considered going with another Heroes name? Claire's last name, Bennet, could be an option. I think I'd go for Eden, though, she was the best! There's also Maya, Charlie, Petrelli, and many, many more.
Aw, didn't like Nellie either? ;) You pretty much ruled out everything on your list, lol. Except Marie, but she was white so I just can't get over that D: But maybe you can.
What about Milly/Millie? Or Sammy?
Oh I love Maya too!
Also, Maibelle would be cute!
@daydreamwanderer: I agree! I love the name Maggie for her. From your choices I like Zoey best. I personally like names that end with ie/y.
@serabell:Awww, good! Glad you like it! I hope you make a decision soon :)
as requested gratuitous cuteness to follow :)
Mu @ approximately 8wks; weighing 1.5lbs.

Mu @ approx 6months; weight 10lbs. I love that he has both spots, stripes, and boots :)

He's a true cuddle monster and absolute sweet heart. He just pesters our older cat because he can [they are about the same size now, he's going to be monsterously huge for a tabby).
Mu 'smiling' for the camera :D
She's totally a Claire. I'm sorry, but she is. I named my kitty Lola even though it was my favorite name for a kid. And, she's totally a Lola. "Whatever Lola wants....Lola gets..." Also used make her dance to Copacabana too.
So sweet!! I have a brown tab too!! Awww! I love all the brown tab pics.
What about Chloe? Maybe that could be a compromise between Zoey and Claire?

DH & I are indecisive on names for our new kitten... you all have been very helpful with names before so thought I'd turn to you again :). We've had her since Friday & still can't decide...
I want to name her Romy (someone on here suggested), but DH doesn't like it. I tried to convince him, but no luck. He really loves Zoey, but I don't like it.
So the other names we both like are Claire (named after the Heroes show), & Marie (after the Aristocats disney movie kitten).
However I love the name Claire, & if we ever have/adopt a kid, that's my favorite girl name. We wouldn't use it if we have a cat named Claire.
Personality: She's sweet, got our other cats to like her within 3 days. Now they play & are friends. She "took care" of DH all day yesterday (he's sick), while I was at work she cuddled with him.
