I didn't use either service, but there are a lot of posts about missnowmrs on Weddingbee. Check out some of the "related posts." I haven't heard of namebirdie before.
It's honestly not that hard to change your own name. I suppose it comes down to how valuable your time is. I'd rather fill out my own forms for free, than pay a service to do it for me. I'm not knocking anyone who pays for these services of course - just sayin', to me it isn't worth it.
There is a lot of form filling out, but the waiting in line (at the DMV and Social Security) is more time consuming IMO, and these services won't keep you from having to do that. A lot of it you can do by phone/fax/email - like credit cards, banks, passport and loans.
I've done this twice already (1st marriage, then changed it back after it broke up), and it's a bit of hassle but not that big of a deal. And it's fun to walk out with new cards/ids/papers that say Mrs. HusbandName! ;)

Does anyone have any useful info or reviews of one or the other? I am WAAAY too lazy to do it myself, so now I'm trying to decide between the two.
