Has anyone been married or attended a wedding in Napa? I’m newly engaged, and just starting the planning process… I’m looking for ANY suggestions or recommendations for wedding planners, locations, and anything you loved about the area! THANKS SO MUCH!!

Congrats on your engagement! We briefly considered getting married in Napa/Sonoma, because I grew up in the Bay Area and absolutely love Napa.
As for venues, it really depends on how many guests you have and how big your budget is, but a few places I liked were Auberge du Soleil (in Rutherford, definitely for a smaller wedding, the food there is amazing), the Harvest Inn (St. Helena), the Solage (in Calistoga, very clean and modern design), Villagio/Vintage Inn (Yountville) and Meadowood (St. Helena).
Most of the wineries in Napa County can’t hold weddings due to local ordinances, so take a look in Sonoma as well. One thing I found was that there were many places that could accomodate a reception of about 150 outside, but not that many venues with indoor space that size. So again, it depends on what you’re looking for!

There is just SO MUCH to choose from in that area ! If you give me an idea how many guests you are expecting, I can forward venues that I’ve worked at that seem to work well! It really depends on scale. Some venues are best for small weddings and some are built to host big events.

Check out Jacuzzi Winery – they have a gorgeous facility and grounds. DH and I were there on our minimoon and that place made us want to do it all over again at that venue. It’s in Sonoma, and is the sister winery to Cline.

There are so many great places. It just depends on your budget, number of guests, etc. The general Napa area winery wedding is pretty expensive, so if you are on a budget, I suggest looking into places like golf courses that can be pretty as well.
Culinary Institute at Greystone is great and so is Beltane Ranch.

My favorite was Sterling – I’m not sure what region it is since I drove through everywhere while visiting! I think it’s beautiful on the top of the mountain or whatever – they have a huge restaurant type area, I’m sure you could rent out. It would be amazing!
