Try hotels in Brentwood its not very far from downtown but will be so much cheaper & but nice. I'd stay away from anything on I24 with in 10 minutes of downtown because those are mainly pretty run down. There are a few on West End that aren't horribley expensive. About how much are you wanting to spend per night?
Thanks for your reply! We ended up doing a hotwire deal that told us it was a 3.5 star hotel for 79 a night in the vanderbilt/downtown area. Ended up being the holiday inn next to vanderbilt and it's usually 140 a night! Happy how that turned out!
That's a pretty good hotel! Plus its in walking distance to a few places down there if ya'll are planning to go out & a cheap cab ride to the "strip".

FI and I are having our e-photos in Nashville and need an inexpensive but decent hotel to stay in. Preferably on the west side or as close to the west/downtown area as possible since we're driving from arkansas! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
