- Wedding: March 2009
My hometown was hit by a tornado, many homes were ruined and lives lost. I no longer live there, but my parents and many friends do. I was going to put invitations in the mail yesterday, but it doesn’t seem right to have wedding invitations showing up right after this tragedy. (I’m not sure if they’d be delivered anyway with the post office being damaged)
Also, some of the ladies there are planning a shower for me on the 28th. As far as I know all of the would be guests homes and families are okay, but in this small community everyone will be affected in some way. Those not affected will probably be involved in relief efforts for a while, as well.
Should I mail the invitaitons? Do I ask the ladies to cancel the shower?
