    Hey Ladies,

I know there's a thread for Natural hair but can we see some pictures. I have a short afro and I plan on keeping my hair in its natural state for my July 2010 wedding. I just want to get some ideas.

    Hey Shae,

I have locs but I can completely understand your dilemma. There is a blog actually with searchable images. Here's the URL

     http://africanamericanweddinghairstyles.blogspot.com

Also Essence has an online hair gallery as well. I've also been drawing some inspiration from two local hair salon near me called Khamit Kinks (www.khamitkinks.com) and Nubian Kinks (www.nubiankinks.com). Anyway, I hope this is helpful. Good luck!

    Hi Caribqueen,

How long are your locs if you don't mind me asking? I started my second set a year ago so they're still on the shorter side (just barely touching my shoulders). I don't think they'll be much longer that this by September so I'm really trying to think up some creative styles for the wedding. How are you wearing/did you wear yours?

    HONEYPANTS!!!!

I just saw your question! I feel so bad...I need to check the AA boards more often!

My hair is quite long. My locs are somewhere down the middle of my back.

I am STILL trying to figure out exactly how I want to do my hair. It will either be up somehow or half up-half down. I am thinking on totally up since my wedding will be in August when it can be very hot and humid here in NY.

My new issue is WHEN to do my hair. My hair now takes about 2 1/2-3 hours to do without too much styling. With a morning wedding, I don't think that can really happen.

I do have a few inspiration-like photos on my blog (chicpersonalfun.blogspot.com)

I'll keep you posted about what I end up doing with my hair.
