I’ll be wearing my hair naturally curly for my wedding. I dot straighten it myself, even though I could, I just have my hair stylist straighten in when I get a trim. I love my curls! I haven’t found anybody who can style it nearly as good as I can myself (seems stylists always overdo stuff to it) so I’ll be styling myself. I’m looking for a really perfect styling product that will hold and define my curls but isn’t crunchy yet keeps frizz away as the night progresses…I know I’m asking a lot of a product! Lastly, I’m wearing my hair down with a Mantilla veil and then taking it off for the reception and adding a small hair clip. Do you have a product suggestion?

@WaToCa:  I love bed head curls rock creme, it comes in a blue pump bottle. I apply it when my hair is wet and then towel dry my hair. I think I’m a little too heavy with product even when I try not to be an if you use too much of this stuff you hair keeps that almost wet look when dry :/ so that’s why I apply and then towel dry so it soaks up te extra:)

I have been using Kinky Curl Spray and Shea Mouisture Creme for the past year- I wash my hair at night 2x a week, dry it until damp with a diffuser on cool, and wrap it in a twisty towel and wake up with curls that do their own thing! Usually it works pretty well 🙂

At the salon the other day, after the stylist cut my hair, he styled it with a faux blowout and then did big loose curls with a 1 1/2 iron- it was really pretty (and my FI loved it!) but I agree with you @Mrsderoo42614  – I’m not sure if it’s really me. I’d love to see the pic options of how you (and other curlies!) are thinking of styling or have styled their hair for the wedding!

I’m debating whether or not to wear my naturally curly or do a more loose curl updo. I figure I’ll have better definition with a loose curl updo, but I worry with the heat and humidity of July, even if my hair is shellaced to my head, it’ll turn into a disaster.

Any curly ladies do a complete style (blow out, loose curl, etc) for a summer wedding???

@senoritafancypants I’ve seen both of those products but hadn’t read reviews. I’m due for new product so I’ll try those. I’ve used Curls Rock before but it’s pretty spendy for me to use every day because I have so much hair! I think I’m going to buy it again and reserve it for special occasions.

Yay for natural curls! Here’s mine. I made a last minute decision about the hair the morning of, and decided to have her put it all the way up instead of partialy down, because it was raining that morning (and you know what rain/humidity does to curls!). But I actually loved it. I have fairly short hair- its all basically just pinned down in back, but the style makes it look like I have longer hair.

hope that helps!

Mrsderoo42614:  Hmm, here’s a side shot:

And here’s a shot of the back. Sorry – my hair is dark so it’s hard to see detail in pictures! Basically I just told my cousin to put it all up in loose curls and pin/spray the hell out of it so it wouldn’t fall down all day!

Mrsderoo42614:  Thank you! It’s Watters Escalante. I loved it so much that I just had it dyed black so that I could wear it to a formal dinner!
