oooo I love that look!
I wish I had naturally curly hair :)
I have naturally curly hair, but it's CRAZY curly. My curls are tiny and very tight. It's like nothing you've ever seen, I assure you. I wanted bigger, looser curls so I am going to have to get some human hair sewn in and then I will curl that. So I guess I am cheating! My hair doesn't hold any style except a natural style, so I really didn't have many choices. My hair now is more funky and not very formal. I have seen some great natural styles on Google images. God bless Google
This came up when I googled images.
I like your pic lots. Some of these gals don't have true curls like us.
I have naturally curly hair, but not anywhere as tight as your pic! It's a love-hate relationship with me and my hair...I hope others feel the same way. I plan on wearing mine curly, but it will be in an up-do.
That way, I get to show my curls off, but it's still something a little dressier than my normal hair. Although, I will admit that I debated for a LONG time that I would wear it down and look like "me!"

My hair is wavy, curly, or just a giant frizzball depending on the weather, so I might need a little help from a curling iron depending on how my hair is. I am hoping I can have something like this, though! Any girls with curly hair have any advice on how to get rid of the frizz? I have tried everything with no luck, and I hate having to resort to straightening it!
love this post! I am planning on an up-do too, without them straightening my hair. The FI likes my curls so I want them to show somewhat. :) When I get home from work I'll put up some pics of updos I've had in the past couple years, along with my inspiration pics.
Yay for us with naturally curly hair... No idea what I'm doing with mine... probably 1/2 up half down, but we'll see
I want loose curls so I will probably get mine blow dried straight and then re-curled for the look I want to achieve!
That style is so pretty! I love the braid. I've been thinking a lot about what to do with my hair. I have really curly and thick hair. I was thinking of doing 1/2 up 1/2 down but I don't want to get too hot. I'm not a huge fan of my hair up so we'll have to see!
I wish I had cooperative curls! Summer wedding= crazy frizzy mess for me. I have combination hair, its never all curly, some of its wavy lose curls and some of it is ringlet curls and some is pretty straight...so I tend to not like how it looks down.
I have naturally curly hair that I get chemically straightened. In fact I just had it touched up yesterday. So now my hair is pin straight day to day but I plan on having it in a curly updo for the wedding. Go figure. Kitty's wedding updo on Brothers and Sisters is my inspiration pic.
I am beyond happy to find this thread! I have super-curly hair that I wear in a medium-length bob. I am pretty adamant about wanting to wear my hair curly, and I really don't want an updo, because I'm also a plus-sized gal and find that when my hair is pulled back I look heavier.
But how to make my hair look fancier? I might just wear it in my normal bob with an orchid pinned in on the side, kinda of like bride #1 below. When I officated my brother's wedding, the hairstylist pinned up a few pieces of my hair on just the sides and then wound everything else into big fat ringlets, some of which we loosened later. I might try for a variation on that.
I have long and very curly hair. But, my hair is really fine which is unusual for curly hair - so it doesn't stay put very well. This is the style I'm using....
I like this bride's do. (From JK Photography via C&B Daily)
I'm trying to get a half up, half down style with a decent amount of body on top. I too like my hair curly all the time. I think that when my hair is pulled back straight, I don't look proportional anymore.

i know what you mean my hair is also very tight curls .. and its tricky though because some days the curls look so nice other days they dont.. i think the curly look for your wedding day will fit perfect but give yourself time to see how they curls fall and maybe just as back up add some setting lotion and take one or two strands to a small curling iron just so you can controll the curls you want to have placed a certin way.. here is a pic .. and you gooo girl .. upload some trail runs if you do any ..
I have naturally curly hair, too. My mom's hair was bone straight and my dad's is very tight curls. I keep mine mostly curly but I take out a tiny bit of the curl at the ends with a flat iron most days. I'm definitely not straightening my hair for my wedding.
Here are some links to hair styles that I'm thinking of for myself:

none of the stylists I went to woudl listen to me when I said I wanted to use my natural curl. They all just straighten it and then curl it again with a curling iron. So annoying!
Oh well, I've just come to terms with the fact that my hair won't be how I want it to be on my wedding day.
I have very curly hair too that I always wear natural. Usually it looks pretty good and as long as I don't comb it out it is not too frizzy. Except on my wedding day a few weeks ago! I just figured Id stick a flower in it and that would be it, but because our wedding was in a different place with very weird weather (hot and dry one minute until the fog came in and was humid ie San Francisco) my hair turned out really weird. I'd also been to a salon the week before, and got it colored which I dont think it had competely recupperated from, and the stylist had used a very heavy conditioner which made my hair all weird and sticky (because I do the no poo thing). Anyway, I usually love mu curls but that day I guess it looked weird. I didn't really notice during the wedding, just now that photos are coming in, I'm shocked at how bad it looks :(.
Moral for other curlies - have a backup plan! I should have just put it up, pulled a few curls down. I think that would have looked much better.
I have curls just like brooklynbride and here's a curly updo that I did myself when being MOH at my friends wedding in September.
I am also on the hunt for a great curly wedding hair style..I want it to be off my face but displaying my curl in he back and I want it to have a vintage flare to it...

Any brides out there have naturally curly hair and intend to wear it curly on their wedding day? I would rather not have my hair straightend before its pinned up because I won't look like myself. Anyone want to share an inspiration photo for naturally curly styles??
Here's what I've been looking at:
