Why don’t you do something half-up so that it’s a little bit tamed? Also, I like using John Freida’s Frizz Ease hairpsray for my curly hair!

I won’t be in a super humid area but I totally feel your pain!  I’m definitely putting my hair up but having her accentuate my curls.  This way, I won’t have to worry about it frizzing up.

I’m getting married this weekend, so I can let you know later how it all went.  My plan is to gel the crap out of my hair while it’s drying, so that it will be in neat curls.  Then, my sister is helping me pin it into a low side chignon (we did a trial run and it came out pretty well).  Then, we’ll coat it in hairspray.

My hair may not be touchably soft, but it’ll look good for pictures, and that’s honestly what I care about more.

I let my hair dry naturally so it was very curly and then did an updo with a lot of hairspray in case of any humidity, rain, or wind.  Here are two links to a bunch of pictures of my wedding so there are a lot of my hair.  She also used a curling iron to tame the frizz and curls a little bit before working on it and then as I said, used a lot of hairspray.

I got married on the beach in Florida in September and I have naturally curly hair.  If my hair isn’t properly done, I look like Diana Ross on a bad day.  Remember that episode of Friends where they went on vacation and Monica had huge hair.  That’s me.

I decided for our wedding, I would wear my hair down and naturally curly, I wanted it to be me, which meant naturally curly, but I wanted it polished.  My stylist did my hair with a curling iron and it took about an hour and a half.  She used a defrizzing serum and hair spray as well.  It stayed.  All night, through dancing, drinking, and the wind on the beach.  It was even touchably soft.  I hope this helps!!!  The first picture is pretty late in the night.  Don’t mind the big tan panties on my DH’s head.  That’s a family joke that he didn’t quite understand.   The second picture is right after I got it done.

I have known this talented hair stylist, Joseph.  His website is very useful, with a lot of photos.
