i'm as into the environment as i possibly can be and am setting the theme as 'naturally ever after'. all of our paper products are either printed on recycled paper or on paper that blooms into sunflowers when you print it. i'm wearing my mothers wedding dress from the seventies and all the boys will be wearing this shirt http://www.theokobox.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=okobox&Product_Code=10093&Category_Code=mens-shirts the problem is with my girls dresses. my maid of honor is tall and slim with moderate body features but my bridesmaid is broad with HUGE boobs and i'm having a hard time finding something that would fit them. she's proud of it (as i would be) but i'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas as far as dresses for, uhm, more plus sized girls (please do not be offended by what i'm asking, i can't find any nicer way to say it). right now i'm just looking for styles and then later i can look for organic etc blah blah.
(p.s--my girls dresses are just regular dresses, meaning, they don't look like your typical "bridesmaid dress".
thanks!! this is my first blog so i hope i get some replys!! <3
Have you thought about a two piece? One of my favorite clothing lines is Texture and they have some great skirts and tops in beautiful colors. Just make sure to click around so you can see the different lengths.
Hi Kissing Lillith, I would love ot feature pictures form your wedding at www.thegreenbrideguide.com. E-mail me if you are interested. If anyone reading this is planning a wedding with eco-friendly elements, please let me know if you are interested in sharing your story as well.
I've tried to be green as well, but man it's tricky. I have green rings and a lot of reuasable clothes, and local flowers. The food came with our location so it's not super great eco wise :(
For dresses I didn't see much that was affordable and green. I ended up using ariadress.com and love the results. They make the dresses in LA and did a great job. Not the cheapest because they are made here, but I felt good about them. HTH!
