I feel so nauseous :(. It started last Wednesday, all of a sudden I felt horrible... I thought I had food poisoning or something. I haven't thrown up. I have no other symptoms. This part may be TMI... On friday, I kinda peed blood, thought maybe I was having my period (haven't had my period in a 20 months & am on Implanon birth control). But no spotting or anything before that or since. I just feel horribly nauseous :(. Nothing helps, pepto, 7 up, collodial silver, toast... except at times a heater pad will help some. All I've really been able to eat is Cheezits all week, with an occasional meal at times. No food sounds good, seeing food or thinking about it makes it worse. Does anyone know what I can do or try? If I had health insurance, I'd go to the doctor, but just being nauseous sounds like a silly reason to spend $200+ (money we don't really have). A friend asked if I could be pregnant... do you think it could be that?

Its worth a test....I know you are on implanon which is pretty strong and can take away your period. It may just be a stomach bug or perhaps you need to change BC methods!

I would try an urgent care clinic. They dont charge as much as drs. Usually about $50-75. I would definately go to the doctor though. But I would take the preg. test first just to rule it out.

Agree with PP's. Take a pregnancy test and if it's negative get to an urgent care clinic.

@Eva Peron: Yea its strong! lol... but I've had it for about 1.75 years & never had this issue before.

I'll ask DH to pick a test up tomorrow, he works late tonight. Great to know about the urgent care, I'll call them tomorrow & see what they say. At first I thought I had food poisoning because it was so bad... but now its constant nausea & its no fun at all! I'm going to eat a pot pie soon, cheezits are getting old...

Important question!! Will anti-biotics cancel out my BC?? I just read a thread that said when on the pill it could be an issue with BC effectiveness. I took Olive Leaf extract (natural antibiotic) about 1.5 months ago for 2.5 weeks straight due to a cat bite.

Typically prescription antibiotics do cancel out pill effectiveness and some herbs/meds! I would perhaps google the side effects of Olive Leaf and the interaction it may have with oral contraceptives!

@Eva Peron: I just googled it & have the Implanon facts sheet up & it says certain anti-biotics may lessen it. I can't find anything on Olive Leaf speicifically. I do know that if the test is positive, still having Implanon can have serious side effects :(. Aww I'm just gonna go get one myself right now, I don't feel good but I'm too concerned to not go now.
