I thought I was all set with colors and flowers…until I met with a florist. I was thinking navy (or some other darker shade of blue) and fall color flowers (reds, yellows, oranges, and perhaps some deep purples or burgundy). Then, I met with this other florist who got my wheels spinning. She brought up the idea of doing fuchsia and orange. I’m not a huge fan of the color orange, so I ruled that out. I live in California, so the weather not really wintery then, so I’m good with the idea of fall. But does fuchsia and navy make sense for a November wedding?
One florist I met with totally ran with my original idea and the second one suggest the fuchsia. I do honestly like both and I feel like if I was getting married over the summer it would be a no brainer, but I don’t want to look back at my pictures and think, “Why did you pick fuchsia in November?” Yet again, I don’t want to be like, “Should have gone with the fuchsia…”
What do you think bees?

You live in Orange County, girl! Navy and fushia will be tons of fun, and is there really even fall down there ()? I think the navy will ground it in the fall, but the fushia will give you the fun. If you wanted lime green and fushia, that would be too summery, but navy will be nice. I would just steer towards a rich and deep navy, away from the yacht look of kahki and navy. Full dark suits and dark dresses on the ladies will make it look seasonal.

Thanks! I’m definately trying to stay away from the natutical look. I am thinking maybe gold or silver accents as well…

I like the fuschia navy combo. It’s very preppy and fun without being too busy.

I say go with the Fuschia. I love that color combo – no matter what the season. And who’s going to look at your wedding pictures and even know that it was “November” in Orange County anyway??!?!

Step out of the ordinary… Navy and Fushia rock!

I love that idea! I am totally a fan of ignoring what the “typical” colors are for your season – use colors that make you happy!

I love it! I am a firm believer tha your theme does not have to be heavily influenced by the season. The navy blue (which i am using btw!) will anchor it down and it will not look too summery. I love it..i say go for it:)

I agree with the others, go for the fuschia and pink. If you don’t like orange what is the point of being surrounded by it in a fall colour scheme?
