Here are a few I found online. I don't think it's nautical! I didn't even think of that until you brought it up! Marine nautical blue is a dark dark blue in drab. As long as you use the "bright' navy, I think you'll be fine, i.e. use silk fabrics!
Im doing navy and white wiht yellow accents. We're going for a preppy naturical vibe though. Honestly, I had to WORK to make it look nautical. Trust me, if you do navy cloths with some yellow flowers and white napkins, it wont look nautical. Flowers, we're doing hydrangea (im also september, the 12th) ivory spray roses and clumps of baby breat for centerpieces, and for bouqs hydrangea, yellow ranunculus, and white spray roses. I have a TON of pics at home, PM me your email address and Ill send em over
these are the same colors that I am doing in late august next summer in northern michigan. amber from tried & true weddings helped me in making this inspiration board. hopefully it will inspire you too. http://www.triedandtrueweddings.com/2009/06/inspiration-board-hallies-wedding.html

Those are our colors, too! Of course, we are doing ours at a lakeside cottage, so I guess the nautical part would make sense in our case. But I don't think it necessarily has to be nautical--maybe a sapphire blue instead of a navy blue?
Check out this board - I posted it recently and thought it was gorgeous. Dont think it's nautical.

Also HappyBride2 is selling some awesome yellow shoes for $275 I believe on Weddingbee classifieds - which would look great with your color scheme if she still has them

Ladies, I think I need some assistance.
I have my heart set on navy and yellow for my wedding, with some small ivory/pearl touches. Problem is, I showed some of my pieces/ideas to my mom last night and she said it looks like a nautical, Maine, Coastal wedding. AND WE"RE NONE OF THOSE! We're late summer (September) in eastern PA!
Does anyone have any great inspiration photos, ideas, etc for navy and yellow that won't make it seem to Nautical? I tried to stay away from navy and red for that exact reason, but I guess I'm not doing as well as I thought.
Many Thanks!
