My colors are navy, light pink and hot pink and my BM dresses are navy. I know I personally want hot pink shoes, but I have no idea what color to put the BMs in! At first I thought light pink, but I feel like they would all end up buying different shades of light pink and it wouldnt look good. Then I thought maybe silver would look good.

P.S-They will probably not be carrying bouquets, but rather parasols..maybe white shoes, hot pink sash, white parasol? Im so lost in all the possibilities! Thoughts?

I vote for white shoes, hot pink sash, and maybe a sheer white or black parasol. That would look good.

Anything but white! silver, bronze metallic or pink would all be great.

What color is your dress? My navy bridesmaids are wearing ivory shoes but I have an ivory dress so it "goes". If you had ivory shoes, you could do an antiquey ivory lace on the parasols to match? The light pink would be really pretty too though. To make sure they're the same shade, just get dyable shoes (check out the satin Lela Rose shoes through Payless!) and made sure they all get the same shade.

I'm going with navy bridesmaid dresses as well and will be making a preference of silver shoes, although the dresses are long so really, they can go with whatever they want.   I personally think white/ivory with navy is a hard look to pull off - in terms of accesories - but I could be very wrong...

I was recently a BM and wore a navy dress - we all wore silver shoes. It looked pretty. Our dresses had a silver brooch on them so it all tied in nicely.

I am having navy BM dresses, too, and presently my idea is to let them get any gold shoes they want.

For your case, I think letting them get light pink of their choosing would be lovely. It is weird about me -- I can be terribly type A about certain things balancing or matching, but for some reason, the shades of a color for a wedding doesn't bother me. It is so incredibly difficult and stressful to make sure every hue is exactly the same, and us brides are probably the only ones who'll notice anyway. It is also more convenient for the girls to find something they can wear again that way. And I think the variations would add interest, especially since they won't have flowers. A google search tells me that Mrs. Toucan did similarly -- not a great pic, but I think they look great!

The only color that doesn't do it for me is white. Formal white shoes are tricky. They can look very Easter Sunday or prom to me. I think if done right they are OK, but with the rich blue and pink sash, I think they may just look like a default color choice. ;)

No matter what color you go with, I am sure it will look lovely.

Not white. I like light pink. Maybe you could give them a few choices to pick from.

Speaking as a former BM who wore navy and as a designer....

My vote would be a silver satin peep toe.  A more neutral tone such as silver will tie in all the colors, but not be glaring.  If there are color differences within the shades of silver the girls choose, it will not be as obvious as a pink.  Also, silver is a good basic shoe for the ladies to have in their personal shoe rotation :)  Best of luck!

Gold or silver.  Anything but white!  I don't like dressy white shoes and think they only work for brides and little girls.

We are doing navy dresses, pink sashes, and pink shoes.  I let the girls pick any dyeable shoe and then we had them dyed to match the sashes, I just took an extra piece of the sash fabric for them to use.  I think they are going to look really cute, I will be posting pics of everything after the wedding!

Silver or pink. I think different pinks would be fine. I don't like white shoes. Silver would be more reuable and similar color across different brands.

We are having navy bridesmaid dresses and all the girls are picking their own silver/gray shoes. I think white will be too jarring with navy personally.

I don't love white shoes in general, so for me, that would be out. I think hot pink shoes would be adorable and would really pop with the navy dresses. Like many of the posters, I also think any metallic (gold, silver, bronze) would look great with navy. Good luck :-)
