@shamrock1228:  I am having navy bm dresses and want navy linens and am thinking the same thing. I think I’m going to have navy linens for guest tables and then have the head table maybe a champagne or light gold colour so the bms don’t just look like floatin heads.

I think it will look great!!  Unless you have 30 bridesmaids.  Then it would be a bit too much navy.

Maybe you can do a runner in a pink or napkins in pink like in the picture to break the navy up a bit more?

the impact of what a few people are wearing will have in a large room is nothing! I had navy BM dresses and navy linens and it was great. There are barely even any pictures of bridesmaids sitting down lol

No it doesn’t matter.  The actual table cloths take up so little of the actual space.  What is more prominent is the flooring, the walls, the ceiling, the other people in the space.  Now if you were talking about draping all the walls it may be too much.

I LOVE darker linens! I really wished we had them but time went by and then it was just too late. I say go for it

I am doing navy BM dresses, grey suits for guys, cream linens for tables, gold chiavari chairs and gold chargers with hurricane glasses and candles/votives for centerpieces. Same color flowers as you. Didn’t want to have the room be too dark as the walls of the venue are dark wood and windows.

@shamrock1228:  I am doing black bm dresses and the table cloths are teal and the chair covers are black. I found and online simulator where you can choose your tables (linen, runners etc), Chairs (covers etc) and napkins. I am doing black bridesmaid dresses and this is somewhat what my set up would look like (can’t change the plates, centerpieces or anything though). I have found other ways to incorporate my other accent colours so black isn’t over powering. Maybe you can find ways to use the navy linens but also find a way to incorporate more of the other colours. Just have to try to invision everything. I’m sure your wedding will turn out wonderful!!

@shamrock1228:  I think with your accent colours, you will be more than ok with navy linen and bridesmaid dresses, if you want an exact match though, see if your decorator or where ever you get your linen from to give you a sample to take when you go to the bridal store for bm dresses. To be honest, I’m not sure how many people will say “wow those bm’s blended in with the tables” etc because by the time they get to the reception, people will be hungry, focused on food and drink and yes they will notice your decor but I can’t see them saything anything about it. If you love the linens and you love the dresses, thats all that matters!!

@shamrock1228:  sure! I think we actually have similar color schemes, but mine has gold instead of silver. You can kind of see their table in the back left here- I had them sit with their dates, so only every other one was blue. It would be the same at a head table though, if you rotated them with groomsmen. I think it helped that they were different colors:

Here’s two of them standing next to my sweetheart table- half the photo is navy and I still don’t think it’s overwhelming:

and here’s what the whole room looked like

I was a BM in a wedding where my BM dress perfectly matched the table linens- I thought it looked great and I was probably the only person who noticed (I couldn’t tell if my napkin was on my lap or not!) 🙂
