My fiance always wears tan shoes/belt with his navy suit. He's picky and thinks black clashes. :)
I don't think black would look bad but I think a dark brown might compliment it best.

My fiance is wearing cordovan shoes, but I think any shade of brown would work. I'm not a fan of navy and black (and neither is he).
You can do Black, but I would go with a dark brown. What colour are the bridesmaid dresses, if you having one?
I'm for black all the way. I wouldn't wear brown shoes with a blue skirt.
toothfairy -- I've worn tan shoes with a blue skirt, but the point is almost moot. Women have a lot more shoe color choices than men do! They have light brown, dark brown, black. That's about it.

Well having looked at the photos I'm thinking that the brown shoes actually looks good! Thanks Mandallyn17 that guy in the top photo looks very sharp!
@care23 I'm letting my BM's choose their own dresses and they're all wearing different colours - Pale Lemon, Lilac, Pistachio green and aprioct/peach colour. So they'll all be different... I'm thinking that the navy suit will go nicely with those colours.... except perhaps the green!

My fella is planning on wearing a navy suit (perhaps a little more blue than navy - ala Paul Rudd in I Love You Man - so cute!) and I'm wondering if any of you bees could offer advice on what colour shoes he could wear?
