It is so hard to find him a ring, there are so many choices for women but no much for men. the style I want is simple (yellow) with a little bit of diamonds…not too much diamonds because he is a man and I don’t like to see men with too much diamonds because it looks feminine to me. I don’t want him to pick his own band because it takes away from the suprise factor. plus he suprised me with my engagement ring.
Please post pictures or your hubby’s band to give me ideas.

Do you know if he wants diamonds? My fiance was very adament about “no diamonds!” on his band.
If you have an idea in your head but you can’t find that particular design, you can also get it custom made. Also keep in mind that most of the designs you see in white gold or platinum are also available in yellow gold.
Here’s a few ideas:

I second the idea of finding out whether or not he’s a diamond kind of dude! I would say that the majority of men do not want a diamond band. I don’t think it would take away any of the surprise factor if you just ran it by him — “Hey do you like rings that have a little bling in them? Or is plain more your style?”

I am so thankful I took my FI with me to find his ring, because what I ‘thought’ he would like, was completely opposite of what he fell in love with, and what was most comfortable on his finger. And I thought I wanted him to have a ring w/ diamonds but he didn’t want diamonds. I had him try on a few with some, and he was right, diamonds didn’t work well on his hands.

@jtsing: I agree with taking him to try on rings. I went with FI and we picked out the one he absolutely loved but I would never have guessed that was the style he wanted.

I agree. Most men bands with diamonds look a little too feminine for mine (and his) taste. Although I do like that last white gold diamond that someone posted. Here his. I picked it out and asked him his opinion and he loved it.

wow–I love the 2nd and last ones eventhough they have diamonds they look masculine..You guys are right I willl just ask him what his style is just to be on the safe side. The other thing is that I want to ensure is that his wedding band actually looks like one—I don’t want any man thirsty woman making passes at my man because she didnt notice it’s a band he has on.

Just as a side note, I bought my FH ring on http://www.e-weddingbands.com/ and it was WAY cheaper than in a store. I know that online jewellery can seem sketchy, but it turned out great, was exactly what we wanted and saved us $500. They have a fantastic guy’s selection.
