I still haven’t chosen a cake design and I need to figure this out soon. I would love your ideas and photos.
A few details:
-fondant (sorry, not a fan of buttercream appearance)
-colors are ivory, champagne, gold and pale pink
-vintage and chandeliers
-loooooove sugar flowers (especially peonies, roses and hydrangeas)
-I like clean but with special accents (no oober flower trails, tons of ribbon etc).
Any suggestions? 🙂

I just found this cake on pinterest and I’m in love. It’s not fondant but it’s also not buttercream!

@dcdt212: WOW! That is stunning. I would totally go for something like that if I thought our baker could do it. I’m sure it is a limited talent though. Bummer!

What about something like this?

I don’t know if you’d like them but here’s a few – Some aren’t in your colors, but they could be done in your colors 🙂

@Treejewel19: It never hurts to bring it as an “inspiration” pic! Maybe something with a large flower on top and in fondant instead?

And this was our cake
I also love the cakes where the tiers are different heights like this

Have you looked at lover.ly? Or projectwedding.com? Both those sites have whole sections for just cakes and you can narrow your search by color.

although its not clean and simple you can take element of it and simplify it.
