It was probably just a drunk neighbour or some teenagers messing around. Be calm and try to relax. Ring the police if it happens again, as no one should have to put up with frightening antisocial behaviour all night. xxx

Ahhh I hate that.  I randomly woke up in the middle of the night the other night, would’ve sworn someone had rung the doorbell, but no, nobody there, and the dog wasn’t barking.  Couldn’t fall asleep for hours and I’m someone who sleeps like nobody’s business :-p  *hugs*

ETA: Although it sucks that your dog is asleep, that’s a good thing, cus it means there aren’t any killers coming to get you 🙂

@Silly_love:  urgh … I hate it when that happens. I remember we had just bought the rabbit and it does this loud stomping foot thing as a warning (do not know what he was warning about) but the first he did it i was home alone and it scared the life out of me.

Its probably nothing, put some form of a weapon (i had a wooden stick in the house for some reason) to make yourself feel calmer and relax

@Silly_love:  Aw, do you have a baseball bat, or a little knife? Just so you feel safer?  I also like to turn the A/C on so that it drowns out little noises, or maybe you could turn some music on?

That exact same thing has happened to me! The didnt knock again, so I think it was a drunk neighbour.

I dont think that anyone would knock first if they were up to something dodgy.

Perhaps turn on a light though so random knocker knows your home. You can always shout out “who is it” and then tell them they have the wrong house.
