I know exactly what you mean! I was at a wedding once and the dj did not stop talking and every song he was like... "now the bride will dance with her brother.." "Now the bride will dance with her 2nd cousin twice removed" lol. And he had everyone cirlce around and sway... gag. lol.
We went with a guy that was really good at a wedding of friend of ours.
He is from the KW area. Not sure how far he would travel.

I'm also in the search for a DJ - and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. We saw a guy at the bridal show called music unlimited, but he claimed he was part of the canadian djs association but when we checlked, he wasn't.. so now I'm not too sure waht to do.. has anyone had experience with that company?

Okay I need a DJ, anyone have any recommendations? We met with a company yesterday, but they were a bit more.... amped up.... than we wanted. We're looking for a DJ that's not going to make a huge show of things. We want to have fun and dance, but we don't want lasers, bubbles and a fog machine. I want people to remember our wedding and great music, but not the super cheesey DJ/MC that never shut up. I'd appreciate any help you could offer!
