I'm using Carol Moore, of A Starry Night (http://astarrynight.com/). They pride themselves on being really classy, with no cheesy props or effects!
Thanks to both of you, I will check both places out this week!
Oh, and I was able to get a cellist and violinist through Carol for my ceremony/cocktail hour as well!
I totally recommend DJ GAza too! If he's not available for your date, he works with another DJ -- DJ Dirty Jean, who is amazing. She's actually the one who did our wedding and the adnce floor was packed all night long and she was super professional too.
Thanks so much, I have a meeting with DJ Gaza next week and I am waiting to hear back from Carol. This really helped so much! I am excited to meet both of them.
I used Rob at Colorblind Productions and loved him and his wife Dianne.

I need to get the ball rolling and find a DJ. None of my friends have been married in nyc so I have no recommendations to go off of. Anyone have any? Someone classy, no probs, just play the music and announce the couple. I am also thinking about some softer music for the ceremony and cocktail hour like a quartette. any suggestions would help.
Thanks!
