I say the spread of desserts. I think the special savory snacks at your after-party will stand out more that way. Everything looks delish!

    I would prefer the desserts.

I also agree with OhMarieMarie, the after-party snacks will stand out more if desserts are served before them.

applecat: I would go savory because if I am drunk, I want salt. If I am sober, I want to sleep (meaning no sugar). I would not think anything of getting french fries twice!

I can’t believe I am saying this because I *love* desserts, but honestly they both sound like overkill. Could you get a discount if you chose to have neither, or could you have some kind of upgrade of some other aspect of the service or food being provided instead?

applecat:  how many are you expecting to attend the after party?  If most of the guests will go home then I’d probably go savoury as they won’t get the food at the after party anyway. If you think lots will attend then I’d go sweets table and cut back on your cup cake options.  Is it possible to go for a mix even of savoury and sweet?

I would do desserts because I would be so psyched about the pizza and fries at the after party. Perfect drunk food!
